EASY AND AWESOME SPINACH SALAD
This is a very easy spinach salad to make. The dressing has some unusual ingredients but is very delicious. I never have leftovers at potlucks when I take this salad.

Steps:
- Place the bacon into a skillet over medium heat, and cook until browned and crisp, turning often, about 10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to paper towels to absorb excess grease. Crumble the bacon when cool.
- Place the spinach into a large salad bowl, and sprinkle with the bacon, hard-cooked eggs, and onion. Gently toss the salad.
- In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, ketchup, vegetable oil, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until the sugar has dissolved. Pour the dressing over the salad, and toss thoroughly to combine all ingredients.

HOME MADE FRENCH DRESSING
One of my grand kid's wanted some French Dressing to drizzle over some cottage cheese (not one of my favorites thing to do, but very popular in her home!) so I whipped up this recipe in about 2 minutes. This simple french salad dressing recipe is superb and very easy to make. French Dressing is made of ketchup, apple cider vinegar, sugar, onion, and oil. Her family loved it ...I made more for her sister to take home..

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender. Cover and blend until the onion is pureed and mixture is thick and smooth. Cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, stirring before serving if necessary. Makes about 3/4 cup dressing.
- My Note: I was pretty much out of ACV (as I am finding so many uses for it lately!) so I used some white wine vinegar instead and it's great although I would prefer to have used organic ACV for the health benefits.
- At times I used 1/2 canola oil and 1/2 olive oil, cut the worcestershire sauce to 1/2 tablespoon, and used 1/2 tablespoon onion powder instead of the fresh onion. I also used distilled white vinager.

SPINACH SALAD WITH ORANGES + DRESSING
I regularly get monthly newsletters from "Taste of Home" and yesterday this recipe was posted there. I really liked the ingredients that were in the dressing, sort of a sweet-tart combination so decided to make it and was very pleased with the results. Homemade dressings are so much more appealing than the store bought ones. I doubled the dressing recipe so there would be extra for tomorrow.

MARINATED MACARONI SALAD
This is an excellent macaroni salad that everyone in my family has made over the years, and now I make. We have this with dinner at least once a week or every two weeks. It's a hit with everyone, as there's ketchup and sugar in it for the kids. Just try it; you'll LOVE it!

MY FAVORITE OIL AND VINEGAR DRESSING
Excellent on a salad topped with blue cheese, dried cranberries, mandarin oranges and pecans but good on any green salad. I have made it with Splenda and even though it isn't quite as good IMHO, it is still a nice dressing. (The servings amount is a guess)

- Allow to cool.
- Add onion, paprika and salt.

- Add olive oil and blend.
- I prefer to put it in a bottle and shake it.
- Pour over salad and enjoy!
