Making a Crock pot pork roast is easier than you think! With the slow cooker, the pork roast comes out tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked every time!

Number Of Ingredients 10

3-pound pork roast
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon Italian seasonings
2 cups beef broth
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup honey
¼ soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the beef broth, balsamic vinegar, honey, and soy sauce and set aside. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings and set aside.
  • Cover the roast with 1 tablespoon of the olive oil and cover the roast with the dry seasonings.
  • Score the top of the roast. Heat oil in a large skillet. Brown all sides of the roast, but do not cook the roast all the way through.
  • Spray slow cooker insert with cooking oil. Add the pork roast and pour liquid over the roast. Secure the slow cooker lid and cook on low for 8-9 hours or on high for 6-7 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°.
  • Open the slow cooker and remove the roast and place on a plate. Allow to rest 10 minutes before slicing.

I tried this cut of meat when it was on sale, and for lack of any other ideas I took suggestions from the back of the label, with a few tweaks (like making gravy). This is a very popular dish at our house, and it could not be easier! Instead of rubbing the roast with the onion soup mix and then adding the cranberry sauce, you can also just mix the onion soup mix with the cranberry sauce and pour the whole mixture over the roast.

1 (3 pound) pork sirloin roast
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
2 tablespoons butter, or to taste
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, or as needed
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Rub pork roast all over with onion soup mix and place roast in the slow cooker. Pour cranberry sauce over roast.
  • Cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove roast to a platter, reserving juices in the slow cooker.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Whisk flour into melted butter to form a paste. Pour reserved juices from the slow cooker into the butter mixture, whisking constantly, until gravy lightens in color and thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve gravy alongside roast.

2 -3 lbs pork roast
1/3 cup pancake syrup (maple flavored not real maple syrup)
3/4 cup beef broth
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons dried sage
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup berry red wine
splash cooking sherry
4 small onions, quartered
2 cups baby carrots
6 -7 quartered red potatoes
salt & pepper

Steps:

  • Put pork roast in crock pot; mix the next 7 ingredients together in a bowl and pour over pork roast. Arrange vegetables around the roast. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the whole dish in the crock pot. Put lid on and set crock pot to LOW for 7-8 hours.
  • You can also put this together and start at lunch time by turning on high for 4 hours and it will be ready when you get home!
