Jiffy Puddin Cake Food
JIFFY PUDDING
If you're not counting calories, this is for you. It's rich, sweet, and easy to make and my favourite recipe. Serve it hot with ice cream, warm or cold, you decide. When you put it together you will think there is something wrong with the recipe but trust me, it works just fine. The recipe says to use a bundt pan but I found that a large casserole dish works better, as the bundt pan isn't large enough.

- Cake:.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F). In a large bowl, beat sugar, butter, eggs, and jam together. Sift flour in mixture with milk. Mix baking soda and vinegar together and add to flour mixture. Pour in bunt cake pan and bake for 30 minutes.
- Sauce:
- Combine sauce ingredients in a heavy saucepan and boil very slowly for a few minutes. Pour over baked pudding. Return to oven and bake for another 15 minutes, then ready to eat.
- Serve with vanilla icecream.

- Directions Step 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour an 8″ square pan. Step 2 Combine all ingredients. Beat on medium for 3 minutes. Pour batter into pan. Step 3 Bake 35 - 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 - 10 minutes and remove from pan. Step 4 Cool completely and frost or serve with whipped topping.
JIFFY PINEAPPLE CAKE
Old recipe that I've had for years and you can't find it on the Jiffy site anymore! Delicious & light! One of my family favorites!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Spray 13x9 inch pan non-stick spray.
- In medium bowl, combine Cake mix, water and egg.
- Pour mix into 13x9 pan and bake for 15-18 minutes(cake is supposed to be thin so don't panic!).
- Cook cake in pan.
- In medium bowl beat softened cream cheese.
- Add pudding mix and milk to cream cheese.
- Beat until well mixed and thick.
- Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over cooled cake.
- Spread drained pineapple over cream cheese mixture
- Spread cool whip over pineapple layer.
- Refrigerate and serve!

This was a recipe request. My mother used to make this when I was a kid. It's a simple, quick cake to throw together, and as LDJ pointed out, it's good with chocolate frosting or fruit.

CORNBREAD PUDDING CAKE (TOMALITO)
Yummy! This is very close to what you get at Chevy's or Chi-Chi's. This is like a very moist cornbread flecked with corn kernels. Comes together in a snap and makes a great side. Guaranteed kid pleaser! This dish should be served hot or warm, and reheats nicely in the microwave.

- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Drain the corn of almost all it's liquid (I leave about 2 tbsp). In a bowl, mix all the ingredients.
- Pour batter into a greased 8x8 pan. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes.
- Serve hot or warm. Enjoy!
JEWISH COFFEE CAKE
I got this recipe from a friend. You must use the Jiffy brand Yellow cake mix, I have tried other brands and since they have pudding in the mix already the cake does not turn out right, Jiffy is the only brand I have found that does not have pudding in the mix.

Steps:
- Mix all ingredients together except for the cinnamon and the sugar, in large bowl with electric mixer till well blended.
- Pour half of the batter in a greased bundt pan or tube pan.
- Mix together the cinnamon and sugar.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon/sugar mixture on top of batter, swirl into batter with knife.
- Pour other half of batter into pan and repeat with remaining cinnamon/sugar mixture and swirl with knife.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour check often many oven vary.
- Cool in pan 5 minutes.
- Run knife around edges of pan to loosen cake, invert on to wire rack to cool completely.
