1 (15.25- to 16.5-ounce) package butter recipe chocolate cake mix
3 tablespoons instant chai tea latte mix *
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter softened
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg
3 tablespoons milk
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Glaze
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 to 5 teaspoons water

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine all cookie ingredients except chocolate chips in bowl; beat at medium speed until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls. Place, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9-11 minutes or until tops are set and cracked. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack. Cool completely.
  • Combine all drizzle ingredients except water in bowl. Add enough water for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle over cooled cookies. Store between sheets of waxed paper in container with tight-fitting lid.

I love starting my mornings with this homemade chai latte! It's smooth and creamy with plenty of cozy spice flavor... And I love how I can control the sweetness level, unlike ones made at coffee shops! This recipe is easily doubled to serve more!

Yield 1 chai latte

Number Of Ingredients 4

¾ cup (210mL) water
2 chai bags
1 cup (240mL) Silk unsweetened vanilla almondmilk
your preferred sweetener, to taste

Steps:

  • Microwave the water for 1 minute 30 seconds (1:30), or until boiling. Add the 2 chai bags. Let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes (5 minutes for regular strength, 10 minutes for strong chai flavor).
  • Microwave the almondmilk for 1 minute 15 seconds (1:15), or until hot but not boiling. Remove the chai bags from the water, and pour in the hot almondmilk. Stir in your preferred sweetener, if using.

1 cup coarsely ground Italian roast, French roast or espresso coffee (2 to 2 1/2 ounces)
1 tablespoon ground cardamom
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon finely grated fresh peeled ginger
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Large pinch kosher salt
4 cups hot (not boiling) water
1 1/2 cups nonfat milk
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • For the chai: In a 48-ounce French press coffee maker, combine the coffee, cardamom, cinnamon, ground ginger, allspice, grated ginger, pepper, cloves, salt and water. Place the lid on the coffee press with the plunger extended. Let the mixture brew for 4 minutes. Press down the plunger.
  • While the coffee mixture is brewing, whisk the nonfat milk in a heavy medium saucepan over medium-high heat until very thick and foamy, 5 to 6 minutes.
  • For the cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon until combined. Set aside.
  • Pour the coffee mixture into a medium saucepan and rewarm over medium heat. Stir in the condensed milk. Divide the chai among 4 cups and spoon large dollops of the whisked nonfat milk on top. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar and serve.

  • using a very large bowl and a sifter (or a blender if you don't mind powder residue in your hair) sift all ingredients together at least twice.
  • Make sure and mix well with a plastic or wooden spoon.
  • To prepare, fill mug 1/3 full of this mixture and add freshly brewed coffee. From a press pot if possible.

1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
2 cups water
4 tea bags (Chai or chai-flavored herbal tea, like Bengal Spice from Celestial Seasonings)

Steps:

  • Add all the ingredients except the tea bags to a large stock pot on the stove.
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until chocolate is melted.
  • Once the chocolate is melted, add the four tea bags. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low and simmer for about ten minutes. Watch the pot carefully so that it doesn't boil over!
  • After ten minutes, remove the pot from the heat and pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve over the top of a wide-mouthed pitcher, or a large heat-proof bowl.
  • If you strained the mixture into a bowl, pour it into a heat-proof pitcher.
  • Serve while warm.

Steps:

  • Add coffee and spices to a french press.
  • Pour 4 cups very hot water into a French Press and allow to steep 4 minutes before pressing plunger down.
  • Transfer hot coffee to a large mason jar or pitcher and allow to cool slightly. Chill in refrigerator 30-60 minutes.
  • Pour in evaporated milk or milk of choice.
  • Serve on ice in mason jars or glasses.
  • Add sweetener of choice to each glass.
  • Pour whipping cream and stevia into a stand mixer and whip until peaks form. Top each glass or jar with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
