- In a medium bowl, stir together mayonnaise, onion, cheddar, crabmeat, mustard, and garlic powder.
- Arrange bread slices on a cookie sheet. Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture on each slice. Sprinkle the bread slice liberally with lemon pepper spice (this is the key ingredient, so don't be shy with the spice!).
- Broil for less than two minutes.

- 2. Pour the dry salad dressing mix over the crackers. Shake well.
- 3. Add the oil. Shake and roll the container until all the oil is absorbed. Place in an airtight container.

Like the reviews, I cut the mayo down to about 3/4 cup, and cut the onion down to 1/2 cup , but added 1/2 cup of chopped green pepper. Had a better presentation. The lemon pepper is very important for the optimal flavor of the crab. I also made it in the morning and let the flavors blend . It as a hit!
