2 Symphony candy bars with almonds and toffee (4-1/4 ounces each), chopped

Steps:

  • Arrange 14 ice cream sandwiches in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. dish. Cut remaining sandwiches in half lengthwise; fill in the spaces in the dish. Spread with caramel and whipped toppings. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with chopped candy bar. Cover and freeze for at least 45 minutes. Cut into squares.

1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (12 ounce) jar hot fudge sauce, warmed

Steps:

  • Arrange 12 of the ice cream sandwiches in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Spread 1/2 of the whipped topping on top of the sandwiches. Spoon 1/2 of the hot fudge on top of the whipped topping. Place remaining 12 ice cream sandwiches on top of the fudge, spread on the rest of the whipped topping, then finish the layers with the remaining hot fudge. 1 package chocolate cake mix (regular size)
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 large egg
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 gallon ice cream

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, shortening, butter, egg, water and vanilla until well blended. Divide into four equal parts. , Between waxed paper, roll one part into a 10x6-in. rectangle. Remove top piece of waxed paper and invert dough onto a ungreased baking sheet. Remove second piece of waxed paper. Score the dough into eight pieces, each 3x2-1/2 in. 2 tablespoons Kahlua or 2 tablespoons kahlua-flavored syrup
1 (16 ounce) container whipped topping
1 cup walnuts, chopped
caramel ice cream topping
chocolate ice cream topping
1 cup English toffee bits or 1 cup Heath candy bar

Steps:

  • Place half of your sandwiches in the bottom of a square serving dish . . . making sure sides of sandwiches are against the pan. I make it in a 9x13 glass dish.
  • Cover with whipped topping.
  • Top with half chopped walnuts.
  • Microwave 1/2 jar Chocolate syrup for 1-2 minutes, mix in 2 Tbls Kahlua.
  • Drizzle whipped topping with both chocolate and caramel.
  • Repeat above steps for next layer. Ending with whipped topping. Add Toffee Pieces to top.
  • Cover and freeze for 4 hours. Best overnight!

I don't know if anyone could possibly love an ice cream sandwich as much as me. I used to sneak them out of the freezer and go sit where I could be alone with my sinful delight. I still feel like I need to hide when I eat one in my own apartment. But, I have found diabetic ones so, no more sneak and hide. Even though the ice cream sandwiches are reduced sugar, the rest of the ingredients for this are not, so a very small serving at one time is alright occasionally. I'm not going to post this as a diabetic recipe because of the other stuff. But within reason, I don't see why any diabetic can't have a sliver on occasion. We gotta have a little sweet every once in a while! **Cook time is freezer time.**
