  • Whiten Dingy Whites. White clothes become dull and yellowed over time due to exposure to body soil, dye transfer from other fabrics, and residue from excess laundry detergent and fabric softener that gets trapped in the fabric fibers.
  • Remove Stains From Clothes. Hydrogen peroxide is a very effective stain remover for protein- and plant-based stains. And it works well in treating mildew, blood, fruit and vegetable, and dye-transfer stains.
  • Clean and Disinfect a Clothes Washer. High-efficiency front-load washers are notorious for developing smelly odors, especially in high-humidity areas. The odor comes from mold and mildew growth on detergent and fabric softener residue left inside the washer drum and on rubber door seals due to overdosing.
  • Brighten Colored Clothes. Colored clothes can become dull from body soil and detergent residue trapped in the fibers. You can brighten them with the mild bleaching action of hydrogen peroxide.
  • Remove Odors From Clothes and Towels. Smelly towels? Stinky tennis shoes? Grab the hydrogen peroxide. Simply mix 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide with enough water to completely submerge the smelly items.

  • White Wine. Hey, we've all been there. While chatting with someone at a party, you gesture a little too excitedly and realize half of your white wine is on the sofa.
  • Peanut Butter. Peanut butter, one of the 50 Best Snacks for Rapid Weight Loss, will leave an oily, sticky stain on just about anything in its path, but that's no reason to toss out this delicious and nutritious topping.
  • Cheeseburger. A cheeseburger is an example of a combination stain. "When you drop a cheeseburger on your lap, there is grease from the burger, cheese, ketchup and maybe mustard all in one stain," said Dan Miller, founder and CEO of Mulberrys Garment Care.
  • Grease. If you drop a greasy french fry on your pants at a restaurant, don't panic. In a pinch, grab several artificial sweetener packets off the table and smother the stain, says Ashley Paul, the owner of interior design company Stella Interiors.
  • Berries. Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and mulberries are all delicious, but things can get ugly when they touch your clothes, your furniture or your carpet.
