EASY HOMEMADE FROZEN YOGURT RECIPE
Steps:
- Combine the frozen strawberries, banana, yogurt, orange extract (or vanilla extract), honey, sugar, and corn syrup in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a blade or a heavy duty blender.
- Blend until everything is combined into a creamy smoothie-like mixture. Taste, and if you like it sweeter add a bit more honey.
- Transfer the mixture to a freezer safe container and smooth the surface. Press a piece of parchment against the top of the yogurt to prevent ice crystals from forming. Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- To serve, allow the frozen yogurt to sit at room temperature for a few minutes just until soft enough to scoop. Scoop the amount you need (long, shallow pulls or strokes will produce better scoops). Enjoy!

Mass hysteria seems to ensue whenever the frozen-yogurt chain Pinkberry opens one of its mod, pastel- colored shops. In 2005, when the first store arrived in West Hollywood, CA, lines snaked around the block and security guards were called in for crowd control. The commotion hasn't died down since. Fans are so faithful, they'll often wait up to half an hour for the specialty: tart, tangy, not-too-sweet frozen yogurt loaded with fresh fruit and oddball toppings like Fruity Pebbles and yogurt chips. Of course, at around $5 a cup plus $1 per topping, the soft-serve treat can take a toll on the wallet, which is why Victoria Edelman, from Randolph, NJ, wrote to us begging for the recipe. Pinkberry reps said they'd never divulge their secrets, so Food Network Kitchens designed this addictive copy.

- Use a food processor or blender to blitz the strawberries for a smoother end result, or crush them in a bowl using a fork to get chunkier pieces.
- Tip the yogurt and condensed milk into the food processor or blender with the strawberries and blitz again to combine.
- Pour into a freezer-proof container and put in the freezer, stirring every hour to break up the ice crystals, then leave to freeze again overnight. Remove from the freezer 10 mins before serving.

- bring the milk, molasses, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon & pepper to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- cook, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved.
- when the mixture comes to a boil, remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
- strain the milk mixture into a small bowl and set aside.
- combine the water & the white sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, without stirring< over medium heat.
- when the sugar mixture comes to a full boil, continue to boil for 1 minute.
- while the sugar boils, beat the egg whites to soft peaks in a large, clean bowl. when the sugar is ready, continue beating the eggs at low speed and very slowly stream in the hot sugar mixture. when all the sugar has been incorporated, turn the mixer to high and beat until the meringue is glossy and has cooled almost down to room temperature, 2-3 minutes.
- whisk together the yogurt, vanilla and spiced milk in a large bowl until smooth. fold in the meringue.
- pour the yogurt mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's directions.
- when the yogurt has finished churning and is still soft, transfer to a large bowl. fold in the candied ginger, if using, until evenly distributed.
- transfer to a freezer-safe container and chill in the freezer for 2-3 hours to allow the yogurt to completely set.
