HOT POPPLERS
I modified a hush puppy type recipe that didn't have enough flavor, and this is what I got. They reminded me of Popplers from Futurama so, I named them such. =D

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F. Set a wire rack over a baking sheet.
- If you have them, slip on some latex gloves for the pepper prep. Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise. With a spoon, remove the seeds and white membranes (the source of the heat; leave a little if you like things HOT). Smear cream cheese into each jalapeno half and then wrap with a bacon piece (1/2 slice). Secure by sticking a toothpick through the middle. Place on the rack in the baking sheet.
- Bake until the bacon is sizzling and done, 1 hour 15 minutes. Serve immediately, or they're also great at room temperature.
STUFFED HOT PEPPERS
I use Anaheim Chillis or Hot Banana Peppers for this recipe, but you can use any pepper of your choice. Be very careful when seeding the peppers. It is important to wear gloves and not touch your face. If you do get pepper burn on your skin, rub olive oil on the affected area. I make these to freeze.

- Banish Migraines. Spray hot pepper up your nose? Sure, it may sting. But it also may stop your migraine pain. The spray has a special formula of capsaicin, a chemical in the part of the pepper that holds the seeds.
- Extend Your Life. Pop a pepper, and you might live longer. One large study showed that adults who ate at least one fresh or dried hot red chili pepper a month for almost 20 years lowered their chances of death by 13%.
- Clear a Runny Nose. Got a sneezy, runny, or stopped-up nose that your doctor calls non-allergic rhinitis? That’s when your nose runs constantly but it’s not from a cold, allergies, or cigarette smoke.
- Speed Metabolism. The total-body flush you sense when you eat a hot pepper is more than a feeling. Capsaicin -- the chemical behind the zing -- amps up the rate at which your whole body heats up.
- Scramble Pain Signals. Capsaicin triggers a heat sensation to nerve cells that normally yell: “Pain!” The message to your brain reads: “Hot!” This signal-switch trick has been used for centuries to help control pain.
