HOT BACON CHEESE DIP
I've tried assorted appetizers before, but this one is a surefire people-pleaser. The thick bacon cheese dip has lots of flavor and keeps my guests happily munching as long as it lasts. I serve it with tortilla chips or sliced French bread. -Suzanne Whitaker, Knoxville, Tennessee

- In a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 6 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until cheeses are melted, stirring occasionally., Just before serving, stir in bacon. If desired, top with crumbled bacon. Serve warm with tortilla chips or toasted bread.

BACON-BLUEBERRY WHITE CHEDDAR DIP

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, stir together cream cheese and Cheddar cheese until combined. Stir in bacon. Fold in blueberries. Spoon mixture into ungreased 1 1/2-quart ovenproof baking dish.
- Bake on center oven rack 40 minutes or until top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Meanwhile, place baguette slices cut side down on ungreased cookie sheet. Drizzle bread lightly with oil. Place on lower oven rack; bake, flipping slices every few minutes, until toasted.
- Serve dip immediately with toasted baguette slices.

CHEESE AND BACON DIP
Recipe video above. This warm dip is really creamy, super cheesy and loaded with bacon. It takes minutes to make in the microwave! Serving it in a bread bowl is optional - I love it because I love tearing into the dip soaked bread. This makes around 4 1/2 - 5 cups of dip. Plenty!

- Cook bacon in a non stick skillet / fry pan over high heat until browned. Transfer to paper towel lined plate to drain.
- Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream and garlic powder together in a heat proof bowl.
- Stir through most of the bacon, all the cheese and most of the shallots. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. The dip may look like the oil from the cheese has separated. Just stir well and it will come (and stay) together.
- If serving as is, pour into a serving bowl, top with remaining bacon and shallots.
- Serve with crackers, chips and the bread you pulled out to create the bread bowl (I toast it).

- Beat the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons syrup and preserves in a small bowl. Spread over 8 slices of bread; top with remaining bread., Whisk the eggs, milk, flour, vanilla, salt and remaining syrup in a shallow bowl. Dip both sides of sandwiches into egg mixture. Cook on a greased hot griddle until golden brown on both sides., Combine the sugar, water and cornstarch until smooth in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 3 minutes or until thickened. Stir in blueberries; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until berries burst. Remove from heat; stir in butter. Serve with French toast.
