Steps:
- Boil coconut milk, sugar and salt gently. Remove from heat and leave to cool. Chill the mixture when it is cool.
- Boil water and sago. Stirring constantly, cook until the sago becomes transparent.
- Put the sago in a strainer and rinse it under running water.
- Spoon the sago into the coconut milk mixture. Put back to chill in the refrigerator.
- Add in the diced honeydew just before serving.

A light, easy-to-prepare, delicious dessert! Perfect after a heavy meal. Plus the yellow-and-white combination looks wonderful! (the 3 hours cook time includes the time taken to chill the dessert)

Steps:
- Soak sago in water for 5 minutes.
- Bring milk to a boil- keep stirring or else the milk will stick to the bottom of the pot.
- Add sugar to milk.
- Drain the sago and add sago to milk.
- Cook milk/sago mixture until sago changes colour (it will change from white to translucent after a couple of minutes).
- Add diced honeydew after milk/sago mixture has cooled.
- SERVE CHILLED!
- (P. S: you might want to add more sugar to if you like it sweeter, and you might want to add more milk if you find the mixture too thick).

- Halve honeydew melon and scoop out the seeds. Using a melon baller, scoop out little balls of flesh. Remove skin and puree the remaining melon. Place melon balls and puree in separate containers. Chill in the refrigerator.
- Cook sago in a pot of boiling water until translucent. Sago is cooked when center is no longer opaque, about 7 to 8 minutes. Pour sago into a sieve and place under running water to remove excessive starch. Drain well.
- Prepare syrup by placing sugar, water, and pandan leaves in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir till sugar dissolves, about 3 to 4 minutes. Turn off heat and remove pandan leaves.

- Thai sago soup. Simmer 4 whole chicken thighs with 6 makrut lime leaves in 2 litres (500 ml) chicken stock until tender. Remove chicken, cool then shred the meat.
- Breakfast sago pilaf (sabudana khichadi) This light, textural dish is often served as a fasting meal in the Indian province of Maharashtra. It’s not hard to make, but you must use sago imported from India, which is processed differently to regular sago and comes in slightly larger, and whiter, “pearls”.
- Indian sago fritters (sabudana vadai) Soak ½ cup sago for 20 minutes then drain. Mix with ½ cup rice flour, ⅓ cup fresh or frozen grated coconut, 2 large chopped green chillies and ⅓ cup Greek yoghurt.
- Thai pork and sago dumplings (saku sai moo) This Thai street snack isn't so hard to make once you have the knack of forming the sago “dough” into a thin disc then wrapping it around the mince filling.
- Honeydew-sago pudding. Cook 1 cup sago in 7 cups water for 20 minutes or until translucent. Pour mixture into a large sieve over a sink and drain for 20 minutes.
- Sago jellies (keuh sago) Soak 300 g sago for 1 hour then drain well. Combine with 150 g caster sugar, 1 tbsp cornflour, ½ tsp salt and 2 ½ tbsp rose syrup in a bowl.
- Lemon-lime sago. Combine 3 cups water, the finely grated zest of 2 limes and 1 lemon, ¼ cup (60 ml) each lemon juice, lime juice and honey and ¾ cup (165 g) sugar in a saucepan.
- Vanilla-scented sago cakes (cantik manis) These simple-to-make cakes are popular in Indonesia, especially during Ramadan as part of a fast-breaking spread.
- Warm tofu with palm sugar syrup and sago. Cook ⅓ cup sago in simmering water until translucent then drain and rinse well. Combine ⅔ cup firmly packed brown sugar, 1 tbsp finely julienned ginger and ⅔ cup (180 ml) water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve sugar.
