Homemade Windshield Washer Fluid Food
HOMEMADE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID FOR FREEZING WINTERS
I posted another homemade recipe for windshield cleaning fluid but that is for "most weather". This is the combination for those of you living in freezing temps., something we in the Deep South hardly ever have to worry about. Both combinations are made from household products you probably already have in your pantries. You can make it without the vinegar but that cuts the grime. And you can add a dash of food coloring, too.

Steps:
- Mix all ingredients in a large jug.
- Using a funnel, pour the fluid into the wiper cleaning fluid container under the hood of your car.
- Be careful not to splash any into your eyes.

- Ammonia and Dish Soap. This is a great option for you if you often drive through muddy areas, but take great caution when handling ammonia. Use ammonia that doesn’t have any surfactants or additives, and use it in a space with good ventilation.
- Vinegar. Vinegar is very popular for its cleaning characteristics and is often used as an alternative window cleaner. It is also great to use as a windshield cleaner, but make sure that when using it no stains or residues are left behind.
- Rubbing Alcohol. This is not exactly a distinct cleaner but an addition that can be made to either of the options above. Adding rubbing alcohol to any solution can prevent it from freezing.
