Bluebirds favorite Winter treat image

This is a winter treat for the bluebirds. And a recipe by jerry baker. The recipe is done in parts. you can make that any amount. 1/4 cup or 10 cups when it says 2 parts just double the amount and so on.

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 - parts suet or fat scraps
1 - part peanut butter
2 - parts coarse cornmeal
1 - part dried currants
1 - part dried cherries, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Mix the suet or fat and the peanut butter with the cornmeal and oatmeal. Add the currants and cherries and mix so the fruit is throughout. Crumble mix sparingly at first in a feeder with a perching place.
