HOLLY LEAVES (NO BAKE)



Holly Leaves (No Bake) image

This is like a version of rice krispie treats, but I think this is a little better for the Christmas holidays.

Number Of Ingredients 6

5 tablespoons margarine
20 large marshmallows
2 cups corn flakes
1/2 teaspoon green food coloring
red cinnamon candies
wax paper

Steps:

  • In a double boiler, melt margarine.
  • Add marshmallows a few at a time.
  • Stir until marshmallows are completely melted.
  • Add green food coloring and remove from heat.
  • Stir in corn flakes gently.
  • Drop by spoonful on waxed paper.
  • Put 3 red hots on each spoonful to resemble holly berries.

1 package Pillsbury® Moist Supreme® Classic White Premium Cake Mix
1 cup water
1/3 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
3 large eggs
1 container Pillsbury® Creamy Supreme® Classic White Frosting
1 container Pillsbury® Funfetti® Garland Green Vanilla Flavored Frosting
1 cup Pillsbury® Funfetti® Rudolph Red Vanilla Flavored Frosting

Steps:

  • Heath oven to 350°F. Line muffin cups with paper baking cups. Prepare cake mix according to package directions using water, oil and eggs. Divide evenly into prepared muffin cups. Bake 19 to 23 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Frost cupcakes with white frosting. Sprinkle immediately with candy bits from frosting around edge. Fill decorating bag fitted with leaf tip half full with green frosting. Fill another decorating bag fitted with small round tip with red frosting. Pipe green frosting starting in center of cupcake, to edge of cupcake to create a leaf. Make two more leaves, one on each side. Pipe red frosting to make three dots at base of leaves for berries.

1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 large egg
1 tablespoon water
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
1/2 cup prepared pesto
24 pimiento pieces

Steps:

  • Unfold pastry sheets onto a lightly floured surface. From each sheet, cut out 12 leaves with a floured 3-1/2-in. leaf-shaped cookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheets. With a toothpick, score veins in leaves. In a small bowl, beat egg and water; brush over pastry. , Bake at 400° for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. , In a large bowl, combine the cheeses, parsley and pesto. Cut each pastry leaf in half. Spread 1 tablespoon cheese mixture over bottom half; replace top. Add a pimiento piece on each for a holly berry. Refrigerate leftovers.
