A touch of dry vermouth
Cocktail onions

Steps:

Chill martini glass. Fill shaker with ice. Pour in gin. Add vermouth. Cover and shake.
Put several cocktail onions on a stick and place in chilled glass. Pour cocktail over onions and serve.
