Hearty Beef Sandwiches Food

HEARTY ROAST BEEF SANDWICHES WITH HORSERADISH MAYONNAISE

Steps:

• Combine first 4 ingredients.
• Spread mixture on cut sides of rolls.
• Arrange roast beef evenly on bottom half of rolls; top with lettuce and tomato, and sprinkle with pepper.
• Add onion, if desired, and cover with tops of rolls.
• Serve immediately or wrap each sandwich in heavy-duty plastic wrap, and refrigerate up to 4 hours.

HEARTY MEATBALL SANDWICH

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper, garlic powder and half of the mozzarella cheese. Form the mixture into a log, and place it into an 8x8 inch baking dish.
• Bake for 50 minutes or until the center is no longer pink. Let stand for 5 minutes, then slice into 1/2 inch slices. Place a few slices onto each hoagie roll, cover with marinara sauce, and sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese over.
• Wrap each sandwich with aluminuim foil, and return to oven for 15 minutes, until bread is lightly toasted and cheese is melted. Let stand 15 minutes befor eating. Each sandwich serves 2.

HEARTY ITALIAN SANDWICHES

Steps:

• In a Dutch oven, cook beef and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking both into crumbles; drain. Place a third of the onions and peppers in a 5-qt. slow cooker; top with half the meat mixture. Repeat layers; top with remaining vegetables. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and pepper flakes., Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until vegetables are tender. With a slotted spoon, serve about 1 cup of meat and vegetables on each roll. Top with cheese if desired. Use pan juices for dipping if desired.
