CRESCENT-TOPPED BEEF POT PIE

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef, mushrooms, carrots, onion and garlic over medium-high heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in soup. Cook 2 to 4 minutes or until heated through.
- Spoon beef mixture into ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish.
- Unroll dough; place on beef mixture. Cut 3 to 4 vent holes in center.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until deep golden brown. Sprinkle with parsley.

- Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
- Heat 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef, onion and carrots; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is brown.
- Stir in pasta sauce, mushrooms, peas and 1/2 teaspoon of the Italian seasoning. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to medium. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon into baking dish.
- Unroll dough; sprinkle with remaining 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning and the cheese. Roll up starting with long side; cut into 12 portions. Place rolls, cut sides down, over pasta mixture; brush tops evenly with egg white.
- Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until bubbly and crescents are golden brown.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cook and stir ground beef and onion in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Return to medium heat, add spaghetti sauce and diced tomatoes, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Unroll crescent dough and arrange triangles over cheese in the skillet. Brush with butter; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.

My neighbor gave me this recipe years ago. I usually make it when the weather is cool or cold. It is a hearty dish. Serve with a salad and there is a whole meal

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Trim fat off of steak, and cut steak lengthwise into 2 or 3 strips and then crosswise into 1/2" thick slices.
- Spray ovenproof 10" skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium heat until hot.
- Add beef and stir fry for 1 minute.
- Remove from skillet; season with pepper.
- In the same skillet, combine vegetables, water, and thyme; cook and stir for 3 minutes or until vegetables are defrosted.
- Stir in gray and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat,return beef to skillet.
- Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles.
- Start at the wide end, roll up halfway, arrange over beef mixture so pointed ends are directed ends are toward center.
- Bake 17 to 19 minutes or until rolls are golden.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cook the ground beef in a saucepan until brown. Season with salt and pepper.
- Drain the fat from the saucepan.
- Pour the cream of mushroom and ⅓ cup of cheese into the beef and set aside.
- Dust your working area with flour and roll your crescent dough. Divide into half, and press half of the dough over the bottom of an ungreased casserole.
- Pour the beef mixture over dough that has been pressed to the bottom of the baking dish.
- Top the dish with the remaining dough, trim the edge if necessary and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is slightly brown.

- 1. Heat oven to 375,in a large skillet,brown beef,green pepper and onion;drain.Add garlic salt,salt tomato sauce and green beans,simmer.
- 2. Separate dough into 8 triangles,place on an ungreased 9in. pie plate.Press firmly over bottom and up sides,sealing perforations.
- 3. In a small bowl,combine the egg and 1 cup of cheese.Spread over the bottom of crust.Spoon hot meat mixture over cheese.Sprinkle with remaining cheese and a dash of paprika.

- Add all ingredients except crescent rolls.
- Stir and simmer gently for 5 minutes, do not boil.
- In an ungreased 9 inch pie pan arrange the eight crescent triangles in pan with narrow tips extending over pan about 2 inches.

- 2. In large fry pan brown ground beef, onion and green pepper. Drain.
- 3. Put ground beef mixture back in pan and stir in tomato sauce, green beans, cumin, garlic salt and salt. Simmer while preparing crust.

- Brown 1 - 1.5 lbs ground beef in a large dutch oven over medium-high heat. Once the beef is almost cooked through, drain excess fat, leaving about 2 tablespoons of fat in the pan.

- Turn the heat back to medium-high and stir in 1.5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, beef broth (make sure to set aside 2/3 cup), and 1/2 teaspoon beef base, if desired. Go easy on beef base as it will add extra salt that can be too much before you realize it. Let simmer another 10 - 15 minutes until potatoes are just fork tender. While it simmers preheat your oven to 375°F.
