Who knew it was so simple and quick to make one of the most beloved, nostalgic treats out there? Gummy bears might have been your favorite as a child, and now they'll be your favorite again with this quick and easy recipe.

Yield 100 gummy bears

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/2 cup fruit juice, such as cranberry, grape, orange or lemonade
2 tablespoons unflavored powdered gelatin
2 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

  • Combine the fruit juice or lemonade, gelatin and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until the gelatin and sugar dissolve completely, about 1 minute (make sure there is no undissolved sugar stuck to the bottom of the saucepan). If any foam forms while stirring, skim it off and discard. Transfer the mixture to a small liquid measuring cup.
  • Put the gummy bear molds on a flat surface and slowly fill each cup to the top. Give each mold a small shake to ensure the mixture settles to the bottom. Refrigerate until the mixture sets, about 10 minutes. Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups diced strawberries ((or any fruit of choice))
.5 oz unflavored gelatin (2 typical .25oz packets)
2 tablespoons raw honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Add diced strawberries to blender with lemon juice and honey. Blend well so that there are no lumps.
  • Pour juice through a mesh strainer to remove seeds.
  • Add juice to a saucepan over medium heat and add the gelatin. Whisk as you bring the juice to a slow boil. Once boiling, remove from heat.
  • Fill gummy bear molds with juice.
  • Place molds in the fridge for 20 minutes, until gummy bears are fully set.

  • Place strawberry puree, honey and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat and gently simmer for 2-3 minutes or until it smells sweet and delicious.
  • Meanwhile, add the water to a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin powder over top. Stir to combine (it will become very thick).
  • Turn off the heat and whisk in the softened (bloomed) gelatin mixture. Stir until completely dissolved (place saucepan over low heat if needed).
  • Place silicone molds on a baking sheet (to easily move once filled). Pour mixture into the molds. Tip: To make filling the molds easier, first pour the mixture into a measuring cup with spout.
