Grannys Tomato Jello Salad Food

GRANDMA'S MOLDED TOMATO SALAD

Steps:

• 1. In a medium to large saucepan, heat tomatoes to just boiling and add gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat and chill until slightly thickened, usually between 45 minutes to one hour. Check occasionally so it doesn't set too much.
• 2. When thickened, stir in the remaining ingredients thoroughly and pour into a lightly oiled 6 cup mold or 9x15 baking pan. Chill til completely set.
• 3. To serve, unmold on lettuce leaf lined plate. Or if in a baking pan, cut into squares and serve.

CLARA'S TOMATO SOUP SALAD

Steps:

• 1. Sprinkle gelatin over soup and let stand about 5 minutes.
• 2. Add the other ingredients and pour into a jello mold. Chill until set. Unmold and serve.

LIME JELLO MOLD (GRANNY'S GREEN GOOP)

Steps:

• 1. Dissolve Jello in hot water. Add cheese, milk and juice from pineapple. Using electric beater, beat until creamy. Refrigerate until jelled in same bowl. Mix in pineapple. Place nuts first in Tupperware fluted mold then add Jello mixture and return to refrigerator until firm.

GRANDMA VI'S GREEN JELLO SALAD

Steps:

• Drain juice from can of crushed pineapple into a measuring cup.
• Add enough pineapple juice to make 2 cups.
• Bring the 2 cups of juice to a boil.
• Remove from heat and dissolve completely 2 pkgs.
• of lime jello in the juice, stir, stir, stir.
• Add all the cream cheese pieces using a gravy whip to blend.
• Add 6 ice cubes and pineapple, stir until ice dissolves.
• Put in the freezer until cool and syrup-like.
• Fold in chopped nuts, cabbage (shredded very fine), and Cool Whip.
• Refrigerate several hours.

GRANNY'S TOMATO JELLO SALAD

Steps:

• Mix lemon jello with boiling water To 3 cups tomato juice, add vinegar and salt. Mix into jello. Add sliced stuffed olives and celery. Chill overnight.
