CAULIFLOWER BROCCOLI SALAD
This broccoli cauliflower salad has been to as many family gatherings as I have! It holds well and leftovers are still tasty a day later. -Linda Kangas, Outlook, Saskatchewan

- In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower, broccoli, grapes, onions and mozzarella cheese. Combine the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, sugar and vinegar; pour over vegetable mixture and toss to coat., Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Just before serving, stir in bacon. If desired, line serving bowl with lettuce leaves; transfer salad to serving bowl. If desired, garnish with additional grapes.

- Whisk together the yogurt, mayonnaise, honey, vinegar, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in the broccoli, cauliflower, bacon, shallots, cranberries, and pecans, tossing to coat. Cover and chill 1 hour.

I love this salad. My daughter got this recipe from her boss. We have made it for several years now. It is a Huge hit at BBQ's, in fact everyone always wants a copy of the recipe.A friend sudgested I make copies of the recipe when I take it to gatherings. Great Idea! The best part about this recipe is you get a lil bit of something in every bite! That is why it is so important to cut your veggie's up into small bite size pieces. I also only use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of fresh green onions

GRANDMA W'S CAULIFLOWER BROCCOLI SALAD
Grandma W cut this one out of a newspaper, so even though she made it I don't remember how much it served. All I remember was it was so good I wanted to eat it all myself! Now that I am older, I have added bacon bits (the soft ones, not bacos) and sesame seeds to mine.

GRANDMA'S CAULIFLOWER
This is a dish that sounds odd but has long been one of my faveorites. The grandma in question is my great grandmother who apparently came up with the recipe (and published in just about every church cookbook I have found) but my memories are of my nana making it for me every time I was at her place for an evening meal. I have tried this with low fat mayo and with splenda and it works just fine for me that way but I am going to give the original recipe.

Steps:
- Cut up cauliflower and cook until it is tender but still has a bite. Then drain very well and set aside.
- Fry bacon until crisp but not burnt, crumble and put into heated pan.
- Add sugar and mayonnaise and stir until the mixture turns smooth and nearly translucent.
- Add cauliflower to pan and gently mix until cauliflower is coated in mixture.
- Serve hot.

- Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Crumble and set aside.
- In a medium sized salad bowl, layer in order the broccoli, cauliflower, eggs, cheese and bacon.

- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add broccoli and cauliflower florets to the boiling water and cook for 3 minutes. Drain, then transfer florets to a bowl of ice water to cool.
- Whisk mayonnaise, vinegar, pepper sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for dressing together in a bowl.
- Remove florets from the ice water and put on paper towels to dry.
- When ready to serve, transfer florets to a large bowl. Mix in carrot, onion, and bacon. Pour in dressing and toss until well distributed. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
