GRANDMA SMITH'S TUNA CASSEROLE
This is an easy to make creamy pasta dish, that I usually have all the ingredients for on hand. It is comfort food at it's best! My Grandma Smith raised 10 children on this recipe and my 3 year old loves it, very kid-friendly. I usually use whole wheat pasta for extra fiber and nutrition.

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients except potato chips in a large bowl in order written.
- Then put in a 9x13-inch baking dish and top with crushed potato chips if desired. (We like the topping).
- Bake at 375°F for about 45 minutes.

GRANDMA DALY'S TUNA AND TATER CASSEROLE
This tuna casserole is an updated version of a recipe handed down from my grandmother, Elizabeth Kelleher Daly so of course it uses potatoes as its starch. She actually called it California Chicken. I guess to a native Yankee, the joke was that in California, tuna is chicken.

Steps:
- Place the potatoes and carrots into a large pot and cover with salted water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain vegetables, then cover to keep warm.
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
- Melt 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and garlic; cook and stir until the onion is softened, about 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle in the flour and and reduce heat to medium-low. Continue to cook and stir for about 1 minute, whisking out any lumps.
- Whisk in the milk until the mixture thickens, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Flake the tuna, then stir it into the white sauce along with the potatoes, carrots, and peas. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Transfer the tuna mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Mix 1/4 cup of melted butter with the crackers together in a bowl.
- Sprinkle the cracker mixture over the tuna and potatoes.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the sauce is bubbly, about 30 minutes.

Here's a tasty take on your classic tuna casserole. In fact, this TATER TOTS Potato-Tuna Pie may just edge it out as a new family favorite.

- Heat oven to 400ºF.
- Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add celery and onions; cook 3 to 5 min. or until celery is crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Blend in flour. Gradually stir in milk; cook 2 min. or until thickened, stirring constantly. Add bouillon, dill weed and pepper; mix well. Bring to boil, stirring constantly; simmer on medium-low heat 3 min., stirring frequently. Add frozen vegetables, tuna and lemon juice; mix well.
- Spoon into 9-inch pie plate sprayed with cooking spray; top with TATER TOTS.
- Bake 25 to 30 min. or until pie is heated through and TATER TOTS are golden brown.

GRANDMA'S TUNA CASSEROLE
Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook noodles as directed on package.
- 2. In a medium saucepan combine butter, flour and salt over medium heat until melted. Add milk and whisk just to a low boil and begins to get thick. Add the cheese and stir until melted.
- 3. Combine tuna, peas, noodles, and cheese sauce in a 2 qt baking dish. Stir until well mixed.
- 4. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until light brown on top. Add crushed potato chips to the top and serve!
