Don't you find something interesting here? Yes, all the three letters in the English alphabets together is coming up as the first letters in the name of this juice!! Hence we name it as ABC Juice. It is so healthy. It may sound a bit odd adding beets in juice, but trust me it's really awesome. You know what my better half said after tasting it? 'Superb' is the word he used immediately. We both loved it to the core!! We know individual benefits of Apples, Beetroots and Carrots in both health and beauty. For those who want to acquire the benefits of all the three, it's of course a good idea to have this Apple Beetroot Carrot Juice or the ABC Juice / Miracle Drink. Beet is having so many health benefits. I always include beetroots in my shopping list of vegetables. It is the powerhouse of nutrients and rich in fibre, which improves your metabolism. It lowers your blood pressure immediately after you have it, so good for those with high blood pressure. It supports detoxification and cleans your blood and liver. It has also got anti-cancer properties. Betaine contents in beets have anti-inflammatory benefits too. If you want to make Beetroot juice, it is always better to add some apples, carrots or cucumber etc., along with Beetroots, as the taste of the beets alone is earthy. The health benefits of apples are numerous including, the prevention of breathing problem, lower cholesterol, increases brain power etc. Carrots are tightly encased in proteins and are having high antioxidants. It is well known for its vision improvement power, anti-aging properties, for its cleansing effect, etc. Carrots and apple add little sweetness to your juice. For making Apple Beetroot Carrot Juice little more sweet, add sugar as per your liking. This is the second recipe from my flog based on beetroots. The first one was Beetroot Pachadi. In fact I fell in love with the purple colour of the beetroots in the initial stage of my blogging itself.

1 medium apple
1 beetroot

Steps:

  • 3 carrots.
  • 1/4 inch piece ginger.
  • 1 teaspoons lemon juice.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar.
  • 1/4 cup mint sprigs.
  • Wash apple, beetroot and carrots and peel off the skin with a peeler. Cut these in to wedges.
  • Transfer these wedges in to a juice extractor.
  • Add 1 cup of water and blend it for few seconds.
  • Add ginger, lemon juice and mint as mentioned above.
  • Blend it again till you get smooth texture.
  • Add few pieces of ice in you glass and pour this juice and have it immediately.
  • Serve chilled.

2 cups fresh strawberries

  • Place washed and peeled carrot in your juicer, save pulp if you like for a later use(good in soup).
  • Insert apple into juicer.
  • Add washed and hulled strawberries.
  • Pour into a glass and stir.
