JAMIE'S SPICED SUGAR AND CHRISTMAS POPCORN RECIPE
This Jamie Oliver sugar mix really does smell like Christmas (although you are not limited to eating it only at Christmas!). The sugar recipe makes loads, (but is easily halved) and it keeps in an airtight container for absolutely ages and can be used on a variety of things (to sweeten whipped cream, on porridge, on fruit--you name it...), so it's well worth doing a full batch. I don't usually do sweet popcorn, but I like this one!

Steps:
- SPICED SUGAR:.
- Put all of the sugar ingredients, except the sugar into a food processor and whiz until well blended and fine. Add the sugar and whiz again to combine everything together.
- Spread the sugar out on a tray to dry out for a couple of hours before using, as it will be slightly moist at this stage.
- Once dry, sieve the sugar to catch any large pieces and discard them. Keep the sugar in an airtight container. It will keep for ages!
- POPCORN:.
- Put the oil and butter into a pan on high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the popcorn and stir well to coat. Cover and leave to pop, shaking occasionally.
- Put the sugar into a large bowl and when the popcorn is ready, add it to the bowl, tossing quickly to coat it with the sugar.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and slightly hollow out each half, leaving a 1/2-inch thick layer of bread.
- Place crumbs in container of blender or food processor and process 15 to 20 seconds or until fine.
- Cook sausage, onion, and garlic in skillet over medium heat until meat is browned; drain.
- In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, meat mixture, egg, 1 tsp mustard, and parsley; set aside.
- Using a blender or food processor, process the cheeses, olive oil, 2 tsps mustard, and pepper until mixture forms a paste, about 1 minute.
- Spread cheese mixture evenly over the inside of each bread half.
- Spoon meat mixture into the cavity of each bread half.
- Place bread halves together.
- Wrap loaf in foil. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until heated through.
- Cut into 1-inch thick slices.
- • For the vegetarian option:.
- Cook the Garden Burger, pecans and mushrooms with the onion and garlic.
- Follow the rest of the recipe from that point.
WINTER WHITE POPCORN
My girlfriend brought this to our New Years Eve party last year and it was the hit of the evening. She graciously shared the recipe with me. A super yummy snack.

Steps:
- Put the popped popcorn, Rice Krispies, and peanuts in a large bowl.
- Melt the white chocolate wafers.
- Mix the melted white chocolate together with the peanut butter.
- Pour the white chocolate mixture into the bowl with the popcorn mixture and stir.
- Place on two or three baking pans and let the chocolate harden.
- Break up the larger pieces and it's ready to serve.
BOURBON POUND CAKE
YUM. Bourbon in a cake. Got this from my mom--it would be great for holidays like Christmas and New Years!

Steps:
- Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Fold in half the flour, then fold in the milk, then the remaining flour, followed by the bourbon and vanilla.
- Pour the batter into two lightly greased and floured 9-inch loaf pans and run the blade of a knife through the batter in an X pattern from corner to corner of the pans to eliminate air bubbles.
- Place the pans in the center of a cool oven, leaving a space between them.
- Turn the oven to 325F and bake for about 1 hour, until a wooden skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Turn off the oven and let the cakes cool in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Open the oven door and cool for 30 minutes.
- Turn the cakes out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
