8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/3 cup butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except bread.
  • Slice bread partially at 1 inch intervals; be careful to not cut all the way through loaf.
  • Spread 1 side of each slice with the cheese mixture.
  • Wrap in foil.
  • Bake at 425F for 25 minutes; serve hot.
  • You may also use 2 TB of chopped fresh parsley instead of oregano.

1 loaf unsliced French bread (or Italian bread, use a 1-pound loaf)
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons butter, softened
3 teaspoons olive oil
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (or to taste)
1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano (rubbed between fingers to release the flavor)
1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt (I use seasoned salt)
fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Slice the bread into about 1 to 1-1/2-inch thick slices using a serrated knife.
  • In a small bowl mix together 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons soft butter (10 tablespoons) with olive oil, Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, and salt until well combined.
  • Add in black pepper to taste.
  • Spread the mixture over the bread slices.
  • Place the slices onto a baking sheet.
  • Broil for about 4 minutes or until slightly brown (watch closely these will brown quickly!).
  • Remove then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese onto each slice, return to broiler for about 2 minutes or until the cheese is lightly browned.
  • Serve immediately.

Steps:

1 16 oz loaf Italian bread
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1/2 tsp dry Italian seasoning or oregano
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp garlic salt
2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
16 slices mozzerella cheese (quartered)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment. Set aside.
  • Use a sharp knife cut approximately 1-inch slices on the diagonal across the bread. Repeat going the opposite direction to form diamonds.
  • Melt butter and mix with the Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder and garlic salt.
  • Drizzle into the cut portions of the loaf reserving 2 Tbsp to brush on top.
  • Sprinkle all over and between the cuts with the grated Parmesan cheese. Bake for 8 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and place cheese slices between each cut. Brush with melted butter.
  • Bake for another 5-8 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  • Pull apart and serve immediately as is or with marinara sauce for dipping.

1/2 cup of Unsalted Butter
1/2 teaspoon of Salt
1 tablespoon of chopped green Onion
2 cup of flour
1 egg

Steps:

  • In a small plate bowel, combine milk, egg, yeast and brown sugar. Stir and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, add flour and then the yeast-milk mixture. Stir using the wooden spoon followed by adding the melted butter
  • Use your hand to knead the dough till it turns soft and fluffy
  • Transfer into the baking tray and use your hand to shaped into a ball
  • Cover with a clean towel and set aside for 1 hour to let it grow
  • In a small plate bowel, add the unsalted butter, grated garlic, salt and chopped green onion.
  • Stir to combine using small spoon till it turns into a paste
  • Remove the towel from the dough, and use your hand to flatten into a circle shape.
  • Use the sharp knife to score the dough in all side like the picture shown in the post.
  • Cut the mozzarella cheese into a 1 inch smaller pieces.
  • Insert each cheeses within the lines of the scored dough
  • Use the brush to spread the bread dough with garlic butter
  • Transfer into the oven and let it bake for 15 to 20 minutes in 200 C (400 F).
  • You can eat it alone or serve with soup or pasta

1 tbsp./ 15g sourdough starter
1/3 cup / 50g bread flour
3 tbsp. + 1 tsp/ 50g water
2 2/3 cup/ 362g Bread flour
½ cup / 100g Sourdough starter (100% hydration white flour starter)
1 tsp/ 6g Salt
2 tsp/ 8.5g Sugar
¾ cup + 1 tbsp. / 206g Water
¼ cup/40g olive oil (divided)
5 ounce /114 g Mozzarella Cheese
1/3 cup / 30g Parmesan Cheese
1 ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
3 tablespoon /7g Cilantro/Parsley
2 tablespoon /11g Garlic (minced)
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (Aleppo Pepper)
2 tablespoon /19g Sesame Seeds

Steps:

  • First make starter by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl and set aside for 4-5 hours or until doubles in volume.
  • In a large bowl add starter, sugar, salt, 2 tablespoon olive oil, flour, and water to form and soft dough and set aside for 4 hours or until it doubles in volume.
  • In between every hour interval stretch and fold the dough. This step will strengthen the dough.
  • After 4 hours refrigerate the dough for overnight or 8 hours.
  • Next morning divide the dough into two equal pieces about 335g each. Lightly spread 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the baking sheet and set aside.
  • Spread the dough into approximately 9x 11-inch rectangle and place it in baking sheet.
  • Place mozzarella cheese discs on the top of the dough. Then cover this dough the second dough. Seal the dough from the sides.
  • Brush the dough with rest of olive oil, sprinkle, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning , red pepper flakes, cilantro/ parsley and sesame seeds.
  • Try to poke the dough with a fork at 2-inch interval so that steam will escape while baking and bread will not be soggy. Leave the dough as such while oven is preheating.
  • Pre-heat oven to 450°F / 232°C. Then bake the dough for 16-18 minutes or until it is golden brown around the sides.
  • If the dough puffs while baking, pierce with tip of knife to release the steam.
  • Transfer the bread to cooling rack for few minutes.
  • Then slice and serve hot . Serve with Marinara sauce.
