This is a classic appetizer that is great for last minute unexpected guests. In fact, I'm surprised it's not posted yet! I've made this for years. The sweet and hot taste on crackers is so wonderful!

Steps:
- Open the brick of cream cheese and place it on a plate.
- Spread the jelly evenly over the top. Serve with a small knife for spreading or use a hearty cracker that will not break.

CHEDDAR-JALAPEñO DIP

- Beat cream cheese and garlic powder in medium bowl with mixer until blended. Gradually beat in beer. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Spread onto bottom of 1-1/2 qt. casserole or 9-inch pie plate.
- Bake 15 to 20 min. or until heated through.

- In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and oil until fluffy. Add the Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic and pepper; beat until well blended. , Spoon into a small container. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve with flatbread, focaccia or crackers. Store in the refrigerator.

This recipe comes from my sister-n-law who got the recipe out of one of her Paula Deen cookbook books. We had it over New Years at their New Years Eve party. I just had to have the recipe. She served the spread with Stacy's Pita Chips.

GARLIC SCAPE AND JALEPENO JELLY
I scoured the Internet looking for a recipe for Garlic Scapes and Hot Pepper Jelly. I found lots for ordinary garlic but none specific for using just the scapes, so I decided to try my hand at adapting a known recipe but using just the scapes. My concoction turned out pretty good (even my wife likes it) so I decided to publish it. I may make another batch but this time I'll add about 20 leaves of Basil. I'm sure that will create a whole new flavor. Let me know if you try this recipe and how you liked or disliked it. Keith

Steps:
- Finely chop all the veggies in a food processor.
- Add all ingredients (except Certo) in a cold pan and stir thoroughly.
- Bring to a boil.
- Boil for 5-6 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add Certo and stir well.
- Pour into jars and rotate every 30 minutes to keep the solids suspended.
