This fast, flavorful spread blends smooth cream cheese and fruity preserves for one terrific taste.

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup apricot, peach or other flavor preserves

Steps:

  • Beat cream cheese and preserves in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy.
  • Store covered in refrigerator.

Have you ever gone to the grocery store and been offered a special Cream Cheese Spread with Fruit and Nuts? They charge an arm and a leg for this product and it is so easy to make yourself. This is my recipe for it.

4 oz cream cheese
1 Tbsp 1 or more tbls. fruit jam (your choice)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
3 Tbsp finely chopped nuts (your choice)

Steps:

  • 1. In a small bowl. To room temperature cream cheese blend in vanilla and then jam. Taste to make sure it has as much flavor as you want.
  • 2. Add chopped nuts. Blend well. Scrape into an air tight container and refrigerate until chilled. Label and date.
  • 3. It will keep well refrigerated up to 30 days.

1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/4 cup jam, of choice

Steps:

  • Warm cream cheese and coconut oil together in microwave until soft, mash with a fork until smooth and creamy.
  • Add jam and continue to mix with cream cheese-coconut oil mix.
  • Optional: to use fruit instead of jam, simply puree your fruit of choice. Use roughly 1 cup of fruit.

1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mango chutney
1 tablespoon minced onion
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Remove fruit chunks from chutney and cut fine.
  • Place prepared chutney in medium bowl and add remaining ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Cover and chill one day before serving.
  • Serve with thin crackers.
