Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 32 oz. container All-Natural Plain or Vanilla-Flavored Yogurt (If your dog is lactose-intolerant you can substitute with soy-yogurt instead.)
1 cup All-Natural Peanut Butter
2 ripe bananas (If you have babies you can also substitute a large container of banana baby food for this.)
1 package small Dixie cups or (1) ice cream molds tray

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients with a blender, food processor or mixer. Once all ingredients are smooth then pour into equal portions into the Dixie cups or in the ice cream molds.
  • Place Dixie cups on a cookie sheet to freeze in the freezer. Or if using ice cream molds just pop the molds tray into the freezer.
  • Once frozen you can pop the ice cream treats out of their Dixie cups or ice cream molds into a zip-top freezer bag.

FROSTY PAWS (RECIPE FOR DOGS)

Frosty Paws (recipe for dogs) image

My dog loves his ice cream especially on a hot day. I buy the 2 ounce cups of real ice cream and after we eat the ice cream I save them and wash them out to use for the dogs. It is a great way to recycle. I even keep the lids to place back on while the dog ice cream is freezing.

  • Line a standard or mini muffin tin with natural liners. See my favorite brand below. Alternatively, have a silicon ice cube tray ready, or line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the yogurt, peanut butter, and banana in the bowl of a food processor (preferred method for piping), stand mixer, or medium-sized bowl.
  • Blend until very smooth and creamy. If piping, transfer the yogurt mixture to a piping bag with tip snipped off. Squeeze into the prepared muffin tin, into molds, or simply make blobs or disks on a cookie sheet. Garnish with chopped peanuts if desired.
