FROSTED FLAKES COOKIES
These Frosted Flakes Cookies are the BEST cookies ever!! I love this recipe because it's so simple and makes the best cookies. Crunchy, soft, salty, and sweet - these cookies are going to be your favorite.

Steps:
- Note: this dough requires chilling.
- Cream butter and sugars in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. You can also use a hand mixer. Add oil and stir until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mix until smooth, then stir in the salt and baking soda.
- Mix in oats and flour until just mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and Frosted Flakes cereal. There is no need to crush the cereal; a stand mixer will do that for you. If you're using a hand mixer, you may want to crush the cereal into large pieces before adding it to the cookie dough.
- Scoop 2 tablespoon balls of cookie dough onto a cookie sheet covered in wax or parchment paper. No need to spread the balls out, you're just going to chill them. Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least one hour. (If you chill longer than 4 hours you may need to let them warm up a few minutes on the counter before baking.)
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or silpat baking mats. Place cookies 2" apart on prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the bottoms just start to turn golden brown. Cool at least 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing to rack to cool completely.
- Serve as is or make ice cream sandwiches with vanilla ice cream and crushed Frosted Flakes!
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month.

CHOCOLATE FLAKE COOKIES
Yup, it's another chocolate chip cookie recipe! This chewie cookie gets some extra crunch from frosted corn flakes. Instead of the chocolate chips, you can use chopped nuts, raisins or coconut, or any combination that you like, equaling at least the 1 cup total. Cooking time is per cookie sheet.

GRANDMA'S FLAKE COOKIES
My grandmother always has these cookies in the cookie jar. For a nut-free version, I use 1/2 c extra corn flakes. Can also sub bran flakes, wheat flakes, Total cereal, whatever you have on hand. Makes a very thin, crunchy but chewy cookie. One of my husband's favorites.

- In a stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, whip the butter until soft and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the sugar 1/4 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl and the beaters. Add the eggs and continue beating until well mixed, another minute. Beat in the vanilla and salt. Add the flour 1/4 cup at a time, beating for a few seconds after each addition, and continue to beat until the flour is incorporated. The batter should be very smooth, homogenous and soft. Remove the bowl from the mixer.
- Cover 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and position the oven racks in the middle and bottom thirds.
- Place 2 cups of frosted flakes on a large dinner plate or baking sheet and using your hands, squeeze and crumble the flakes to make them smaller, taking care not to grind them up completely. Place 1/4 cup flour on another plate and set it next to the plate with the frosted flakes, and have the parchment-covered baking sheets nearby.
