CHOCOLATE DELIGHT DESSERT
My three children loved this dessert so much that they begged me to get the recipe. It's so easy to make and tastes so good. And making it ahead of time frees your hands and your time for other to-do's! -Ruth Dyck, Forest, Ontario

Steps:
- In a small bowl, combine saltines and graham cracker crumbs; stir in butter. Press onto the bottom of a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Refrigerate 15 minutes. , Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes 2 minutes. Fold in ice cream. Spread over crust. Top with whipped topping; sprinkle with crushed candy bars. Freeze, covered, until firm. Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving.

EASY CHOCOLATE DELIGHT RECIPE
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine flour, chopped pecans, and softened margarine or butter until the mixture looks like wet sand. Press the crust mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and bake for 20 minutes. Allow the crust to cool completely.
- Meanwhile, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and whipped topping with an electric mixer at medium speed until smooth and fluffy. Spread the filling evenly onto the cooled crust. Set aside.
- Whisk together chocolate pudding and milk as directed in the package. Spread the pudding mixture evenly on top of the cream cheese filling. Top with whipped topping and chopped pecans. Let the pie set in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Serve, slice, and enjoy!

- 1. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Cream shortening and white sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and sifted ingredients, mix well. Spread batter very thin on baking sheet.
- 2. Fold brown sugar into beaten egg white. Spread over cookie batter. Bake in a slow oven (325 degrees) for approximately 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares

- Grease and flour two 9-in round cake pans; set aside. In large bowl, beat 1 cup sugar, buttermilk, oil, egg yolks, and melted chocolate till blended. Combine flour, 1/4 tsp salt, and baking soda; gradually beat into sugar mixture till blended.
- In large bowl with clean beaters, beat egg whites till soft peaks form. Gradually beat in remaining sugar, 1 T. at a time, on high till stiff peaks form. Fold into the batter.
- Transfer to pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
- For frosting, beat cream, powdered sugar, cocoa, extract, and remaining salt till stiff peaks form.
- Cut each cake horizontally into two layers; brush layers with cream de cacao. Place bottom layer on a serving plate; top with 1/2 cup frosting and sprinkle with 2 T. almonds. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining cake layer. Spread remaining frosting over top and sides of cake; sprinkle remaing almonds over the top.

- In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and brown sugar. Beat in egg, milk and vanilla. Beat in chocolate until blended. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in walnuts. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 11-13 minutes or until firm. Remove to wire racks to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla and enough milk to achieve spreading consistency. Frost cooled cookies.
