The French Quarter smash is a berry-licious moonshine cocktail that pairs corn whiskey with brandy, blueberries, lemon, mint, and almond syrup.

Ingredients

For the Almond Syrup:
1 cup raw sugar
1 cup water
2 teaspoons organic almond extract
For the French Quarter Smash:
1 1/4 ounces moonshine
3/4 ounce brandy
3 wedges lemon
6-8 fresh mint leaves
1/4 ounce almond syrup
2 teaspoons blueberry preserves

Steps:

Bring the sugar and water to a boil, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
Reduce heat to a simmer, and stir in the almond extract.
Taste for the desired potency and add small amounts of extract as needed. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for about 20 minutes.
Gather the ingredients.
In a cocktail shaker , muddle the lemon wedges and almond syrup until all of the juices are extracted.
Add the moonshine, brandy, mint leaves, and blueberry preserves, and fill the shaker with ice .
Shake vigorously to fully mix the preserves.
Double strain into an old-fashioned glass with 1 large ice cube .
Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint. Serve and enjoy.

Ingredients

1/4 cup spiced light rum
1/4 cup dark rum
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
Splash of grenadine
4 maraschino cherries, for garnish

Steps:

Fill a cocktail shaker and four tall glasses with ice. Pour the rums and the orange and pineapple juices into shaker; add the grenadine. Shake well. Pour through a fine sieve into each glass. Garnish each cocktail with a maraschino cherry.
