This is an old recipe that my mother in law made years ago for parties. They may sound odd but they are very good. Give them a try!

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 hamburger buns
1 small jar of cheese whiz
1 lb bacon, cut up in bite size peices
1 medium sweet onion - chopped
1 c ketsup
1 pkg dried beef chipped

Steps:

  • 1. Fry bacon and onions until browned. Drain well.
  • 2. Add ketsup and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 3. Spread each bun with cheese whiz. Add 2 slices of chipped beef and 2 tablespoons of bacon mixture.
  • 4. Wrap each sandwich in foil. Place all sandwiches on a baking pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • 5. After baking, these wrapped sandwiches may be kept warm in a slow cooker on low.

2 5 oz. cans albacore tuna in water (shredded with a fork)
2 hard boiled eggs (chopped)
1 cup dill pickle (chopped)
1 cup onion (chopped)
1/3 cup green salad olives
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
5 oz. block American cheese (cut into small cubes)
1/2 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
7 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Prepare aluminum foil by tearing off 12" to 15" pieces, enough to wrap the sandwiches.
  • Fill the buns with the tuna fish mixture and wrap in foil. (I used a #8 ice cream scoop).
  • Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and place in oven for 25 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  • Serve the sandwiches wrapped in foil.

12 whole Dinner Rolls Or Small Sandwich Buns (I Used Whole Wheat)
1 lb. Thinly Shaved Roast Beef Or Ham (or Both!)
1 lb. Cheese (Provolone, Swiss, Mozzarella, Even Cheez Whiz!)
1/4 c. Mayonnaise
3 tbsp. Grated Onion (or 1 Tbsp Dried Onion Flakes))
1 tbsp. Poppy Seeds
1 tbsp. Spicy Mustard
1 tbsp. Horseradish Mayo Or Straight Prepared Horseradish
Dash Of Worcestershire
Optional Dressing Ingredients: Sriracha, Hot Sauce, Dried Onion Flakes Instead Of Fresh, Garlic Powder, Pepper, Etc.)

Steps:

  • Slice rolls in half. Mix together mayo, grated onion, poppy seeds, spicy mustard, horseradish, and Worcestershire. Taste it and adjust ingredients however you wish.To assemble, spread dressing on top and bottom buns. Lay on roast beef or ham, then one or two slices of cheese (I cut them to fit the small buns.) If you're using Cheez Whiz, spread a layer on the top bun. Wrap each sandwich in a foil square, and either keep in the fridge or bake right away. To bake the sandwiches, put them on a baking sheet in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes. The buns should be slightly crusty and the cheese should be melted. Great for a crowd!

Is there anyone who doesn't love a cheesy grilled chicken sandwich? This recipe is one of the really delicious versions we've tasted. As a bonus, it has instructions on how to make grilled sandwich without any messy clean-up. Now you can enjoy preparing this delicious chicken sandwich as much as you'll enjoy eating it!

Yield 1 sandwich

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 chicken breast boneless, skinless
1/4 green pepper sliced
1/4 onion sliced
Ciabatta bread
1 slice cheese
3 tbsp Beano's Original Submarine Dressing more or less to taste

Steps:

  • Light up your grill and put it on medium to high heat.
  • Place the chicken breast, green pepper and onion in piece of tin foil large enough to fold over and make a pouch. Pour the Beano's Original Submarine Dressing over the ingredients evenly, then close the pouch.
  • Once your grill is hot, put the foil pouch on the grill until the chicken reaches 165 degrees internal temperature as measured with a meat thermometer.
  • Shred the chicken and mix with the green pepper and onion.
  • Put the mixture on the bottom half of the ciabatta bread and top with the cheese, allowing it to melt by putting the bread and chicken on the top shelf of the grill and shutting the lid for a minute.
  • Put the top half of the bun on and enjoy!

1/2 lb Italian sausage
1/2 lb ground beef
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 onion (diced)
1/2 green pepper (diced)
14 oz pizza sauce
2 loaves french bread (sliced in half horizontally & vertically)
1 cup Mozzarella cheese (grated)
2-4 tbsp butter (softened)
2 tsp garlic salt

Steps:

  • If sausage has casings remove them and crumble into pan with the ground beef. Brown both meats together until no longer pink. Drain fat.
  • And pepper & onion
  • add garlic salt, red pepper flakes & pizza sauce.
  • stir to combine and heat for 5 min
  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Cut the split French loaf into 2 separate sandwiches. Repeat with second loaf.
  • Pull a small amount of bread out of the bottom and top of the loaf to make a bowl for the meat.
  • Fill the bowl with meat mixture.
  • Cover the meat mixture with shredded Mozzarella cheese.
  • Place the top of loaf onto the sandwich
  • Lay out foil for each sandwich and spray with non-stick spray. Lay sandwich on foil and wrap. Bake for 10 minutes in the oven
  • Open foil up and brush with butter and sprinkle with garlic salt. Bake 5 min more with the foil packet open
  • Remove from foil packets and serve
