FLUFFY BUTTERCREAM FROSTING
Perfectly light and fluffy buttercream frosting recipe is the best white, vanilla frosting you'll ever taste! Not overly sweet, light-tasting whipped buttercream tops and decorates layer cakes, sheet cakes, and cupcakes beautifully!

Steps:
- In a large bowl or stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment, cream together softened butter and shortening until fluffy and well combined.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well blended. The frosting will be very stiff at this point.
- Slowly mix in the heavy cream on low speed. Once it is fully mixed in, increase the speed to high and beat for 5-7 minutes, scraping down bowl occasionally. The frosting should be very white and fluffy, like a bowl of whipped cream. Use to frost a moist chocolate cake, vanilla cake, or fluffy banana cake!

FLUFFY AND YUMMY BUTTERCREAM FROSTING
This is a wonderful Buttercream frosting I use for cakes I make. It is a sweet and fluffy icing. I took a cake decorating class at Michaels and the teacher gave us this recipe, and I love it!! One recipe will provide more than enough for a two layer cake.

Steps:
- Cream Butter in a mixing bowl with an electric mixer.
- Add shortening and cream together.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla, milk or water.
- Mix on low for one minute.
- Scrape the sides of your bowl with a plastic spatula.
- Mix on high till light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).

KITTENCAL'S BAKERY BUTTERCREAM FROSTING/ICING
This is similar to bakery frosting and so much better than any canned! --- for extra fluffy frosting use heavy cream and make certain to beat for at least 3-5 minutes and remember to sift the confectioners sugar before using. For flavor and color you can add 1-2 envelopes 3-grams each, Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Flavor Mix, any flavor desired.

- In a large bowl using an electric mixer at medium speed beat together the shortening and margarine or butter with cream, salt almond extract and vanilla until smooth (about 3 minutes).
- Add in sifted confectioners sugar starting with 4-1/2 cups; beat very well until smooth and fluffy, adding more confectioners sugar or cream or milk until you achieve desired consistency.
- Add in the food coloring or Flavor Creation powder (if using) until the desired shade is achieved.

Steps:
- Cream room temperature butter with a hand mixer, the paddle attachment of a stand mixer, or a wooden spoon until smooth and fluffy. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until fully incorporated. Beat in vanilla extract.
- Pour in milk and beat for an additional 3 to 4 minutes. Add food coloring, if using, and beat for thirty seconds until smooth or until desired color is reached.

BUTTER CREAM ICING (BUTTERCREAM FROSTING)
I use Recipe #95416 when I'm decorating a cake but we like this version on brownies, cookies or undecorated cakes. I cut the recipe in half for brownies. Goes really well on Recipe #2496. Freezes well also. (If you have leftovers, put it between graham cracker for a delicious snack or dessert. My kids love it that way!)

- Cream butter and then add vanilla and optional salt. (To cut the sweetness I usually sprinkle some salt in the vanilla, so it will dissolve.).
- Add sugar a cup at a time beating on medium speed. Add milk 1 Tbls. at a time and beat on high until completely blended and desired consistency.
