Creamy cilantro that doubles as a salad dressing and dipping sauce is made with yogurt, sour cream, garlic, jalapeno and lots of cilantro! This magical sauce will become your new favorite sauce and is great for dipping, on salads, tacos, and grilled meats.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups cilantro leaves and stems (about 1 small bunch )
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup sour cream (can sub with Greek Yogurt)
3-4 cloves garlic
1/4 cup lime or lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 jalapeno, deseeded (optional )

Steps:

  • Add all the ingredients to the food processor, season with salt and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer to a dressing bottle or air-tight container and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • Use on salads, tacos, burrito bowls, as a dipping sauce or on rice and grilled meats.

Skinny chipotle cilantro sauce made with just a few simple ingredients and under 5 minutes. Serve on salads, sandwiches, rice, seafood, or as a dipping sauce.

1 cup plain yogurt (sour cream or greek yogurt can also be used)
1 chipotle chile (with 2 tsp sauce from can of chipotles in adobo sauce)
1/2 cup packed cilantro
1 ⁄2 teaspoon salt
1 ⁄4 lime (zest and juice)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in blender until smooth. Chill in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Fat Free Creamy Chipotle Cilantro Sauce/Dressing image

I made this up the other night because I ran out of fat free yogurt for a raita. It was great on our grilled Thai chicken, and I'm sure it would be great with grilled fish or shrimp, on grilled veggies, etc. Very refreshing, but with a kick! Add an extra chipotle if you love spicy... If you have fresh tomatoes or cucumber, de-seed them and finely chop and add them in, for a great relish!

16 ounces fat free sour cream
3 garlic cloves
1 large chipotle chile in adobo
1 cup fresh cilantro, loosely packed
2 spring onions
2 teaspoons sea salt
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons lime juice

Steps:

  • Roughly chop all the veggies, from garlic to onions, and add to a mini-chopper (or blender, but my mini-chopper works soooo much better).
  • Add the sour cream, salt, cumin and lime juice.
  • Blend until well mixed, but with a little texture.
  • Cover and chill for at least an hour before serving. Check for seasoning and add ground pepper and salt if needed.

1 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
1 teaspoon minced fresh onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin

Steps:

  • Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl. Chill. Makes 1 ¼ Cups.

6 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed (about 5)
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup nonfat sour cream
1 cup fat-free cottage cheese
1 cup low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
3 cloves garlic, crushed &,minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup crushed corn flakes

Steps:

  • Mix sour cream, cottage cheese, about 1/2 the cheddar, garlic, salt, pepper& basil in large mixing bowl.
  • Add potatoes and onions, mix well.
  • Pour mixture in a 13 by 9 pan that you sprayed with Pam.
  • Pat down with the back of your spatula.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese over top.
  • In a baggie, crush corn flakes and then add some salt, pepper and garlic powder and toss around a bit.
  • Sprinkle corn flake mixture over top of cheese.
  • Bake 375 for about an hour.

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and refrigerate at least one hour.
