Fast and Easy Garlic Rolls image

The quickest, easiest way to spruce up refrigerated rolls! This was one of my mom's classic "company" side dishes (we kids knew when we were having guests for dinner when we saw this recipe on the counter). It originally came from the pastor's wife, Gina Hoffman, at our church growing up. You can increase the seasonings to taste - I typically use a little more of the garlic powder and oregano.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (10 ounce) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine, melted
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1 dash black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven as directed on biscuit packaging.
  • Roll each biscuit into a "snake"; then tie in a basic knot.
  • Place rolls in baking pan or dish (the dish needs to have a rim so the butter sauce doesn't spill in the oven).
  • Combine melted butter with seasonings, brush or spoon half of mixture over rolls.
  • Bake according to biscuit package directions.
  • Brush/spoon remaining butter sauce over baked rolls.
  • Serve immediately.

Best Ever Garlic Rolls image

Very simple, quick and great tasting rolls with a mixture of Blessing to lather the rolls for that extra special taste.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 prepared italian pizza dough (already prepared at Publix Deli.)
1 garlic clove, mashed
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup butter
1 tablespoon olive oil

Steps:

  • Lightly spray oil on a large cookie sheet.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured counter and cut into 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 squares.
  • Butter the top with soft or melted butter and cover with a clean kitchen towel.
  • Let sit for 30 minutes.
  • Bake for 12 minutes or until golden on top.
  • Blessing mixture is the garlic, salt, onion powder, butter, olive oil.
  • Place the "Blessing" mixture into a saucepan and keep it on low to keep warm. DON'T BOIL.
  • Immediately after the rolls are done, place the rolls in a bowl and pour the Blessing over them and toss.
  • Serve Warm.
  • Optional: add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of chopped rosemary and 1/2 teaspoon sweet basil in with the Blessing.
