Categories     Appetizers

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 loaf of round, crusty bread, such as sourdough
16 ounces sliced Provolone or mozzarella cheese, cut into squares
3-4 ounces pepperoni, halved (or mini pepperoni)
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
Warm marinara sauce for dipping

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the bread in a cross-wise pattern, without cutting through the bottom crust.
  • Place the bread on large piece of foil (enough to wrap the entire loaf). Insert cheese slices and pepperoni between the cuts.
  • Combine the melted butter, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning. Brush over stuffed bread with a pastry brush. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Wrap bread completely in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap the bread and bake 5-10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown. Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

PEPPERONI PIZZA LOAF

Pepperoni Pizza Loaf image

This savory stromboli starts with frozen bread dough, so it comes together in practically no time. The golden loaf is stuffed with cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers and olives. I often add a few slices of ham, too. It's tasty served with warm pizza sauce for dipping. -Jenny Brown, West Lafayette, Indiana

PULL APART PIZZA

Pull Apart Pizza image

We're huge Notre Dame fans, and we tailgate. A lot! This is one of those recipe that is a sure fit hit with the kids and the adults. Sometimes we get crazy and add other "pizza" type ingredients like olives, or peppers, but mainly we stay with the original pizza pull apart bread-it seems to be a good luck charm for our team! -Dana Elliot, Taste of Home Culinary Specialist

Kids Can Make: Pull-Apart Pizza Bread image

Kids and adults will have fun making and eating this finger-friendly pizza bread. For big and little kids: Let them help measure, roll and assemble the bread right in the pan.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     appetizer

Time 2h15m

Yield 8 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
Kosher salt
2 pounds store-bought pizza dough, at room temperature
2/3 cup pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
24 pepperoni slices, quartered
1 cup shredded mozzarella (4 ounces)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan (1 ounce), plus more for sprinkling

Steps:

  • Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 400 degrees F. Brush the bottom and sides of a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with oil.
  • Pour the 3 tablespoons oil onto a large dinner plate and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pinch off pieces of dough the size of Ping-Pong balls and roll them into rough balls. Roll each dough ball around in the salted oil until all sides are coated.
  • Put half of the dough balls in the prepared pan, squishing them together. Spread half of the pizza sauce over the balls, then sprinkle with half of the pepperoni, mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat with the remaining dough balls, pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheeses.
  • Put the loaf pan on a rimmed baking sheet (to catch any drips) and bake until the bread is puffed up and golden brown, about 25 minutes. Cover loosely with foil and continue to bake until the bread is cooked through in the middle, about 25 minutes more. Let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then use dry oven mitts or kitchen towels to carefully unmold. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan and serve hot with more pizza sauce for dipping. (Let your guests pull the bread apart!)

PEPPERONI BREAD (USING REFRIGERATOR LOAF)

Pepperoni Bread (Using Refrigerator Loaf) image

Start with a tube of refrigerator bread dough, then add pizza-like toppings, roll up and bake until golden. This loaf is great served alongside spaghetti, or serve slices as an appetizer with a marinara dipping sauce.

Categories     Breads

Time 40m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (14 ounce) package refrigerated bread dough (see note)
1/4 cup pepperoni, chopped (about 2 ounces)
1/4 cup black olives, chopped
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Pillsbury makes an Italian Loaf and a French Loaf - both work fine. Remove unbaked bread from refrigerator tube; unroll.
  • Place all chopped ingredients on top of dough, leaving an inch clear on the longest side to use for pinching and sealing. Roll up loaf and pinch to seal.
  • Place on non-stick baking sheet. Using a very sharp knife, score loaf diagonally about 1/4 inch into dough, exposing bits of the colorful filling.
  • MAKE-AHEAD HINT - you can make them to this point, then cover and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Bake 350 degrees for 28-29 minutes until nicely browned.

EASY PIZZA PULL-APART BREAD

Easy Pizza Pull-Apart Bread image

A super easy recipe for an appetizer or just finger food for get-togethers. I am all about the "Semi-Homemade" way of doing things and have tried this recipe with much praise from others. Along with marinara for dipping, I have found that ranch is popular as well. Note: The prep time includes rise time for the dough.

Provided by Firefighter_Barbie

Categories     Cheese

Time 2h30m

Yield 8-10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 loaves frozen bread dough
1 (6 ounce) package pepperoni slices
1 (12 ounce) package mozerella string cheese sticks
1/2 cup butter
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 (14 ounce) jar marinara sauce

Steps:

  • Thaw frozen pizza dough overnight in the fridge, in a bowl or pan, covered.
  • After dough is thawed, let dough rise in a slightly warm oven (I just turn mine on for a few seconds, and then back off before putting dough in).
  • When dough has risen to about double in size, take it out and place on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut up your mozerella cheese sticks into approx 1/2 inch sections.
  • Melt stick of butter in microwave for 45 seconds to a minute. Add garlic powder to melted butter and set to side.
  • Pinch off dough in pieces about the size of large eggs, and flatten each piece of dough to place 1-2 pieces of pepperoni and one piece of cheese inside. Fold dough around contents and seal as best possible.
  • Take dough pocket and roll in melted butter, and then place in pan of choice. (I find a bundt pan works best).
  • Keep making pockets and stacking them into pan until all dough has been used, making sure to grease your pan and rolling all dough pockets in the garlic butter.
  • Bake at 375 degrees, for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until dough is lightly browned.
  • Serve with warm marinara for dipping sauce.

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with foil (use a lot of overhang on the sides because you are going to wrap the bread loaves) and spray with cooking spray.
  • Use a long bread knife to slice the bread. Make long slices about 1.5 inches apart all across the bread, and then in the opposite direction so that you get a checkerboard effect. **Be careful not to slice all the way through the bread, do not cut through the bottom crust!**
  • Gently stuff the mozzarella into all of the spaces in the bread. Stuff pepperoni slices into the spaces next. Melt butter and whisk in italian seasoning. Drizzle or brush seasoned butter over the whole bread.
  • Place loaves onto prepared baking sheet and wrap the loaves with the overhanging foil. Bake 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bread start to brown lightly. Serve pull-apart bread with warmed pizza/marina sauce. Pull-apart your pizza bread, dip, and enjoy!
