EASY BEER BREAD
An awesome tasting and super simple recipe for beer bread. Mixes in one bowl and makes a lovely rustic and flavorful bread. So far I've only used lighter beer (Blue Moon Belgian White specifically) but am definitely going to be experimenting more with other types of beer (especially Guinness), as well as herb combinations. There's no need to let this mix rise either, perfect for when you're in a bit of time pinch. This recipe makes one standard sized loaf.

- Mix until just blended, the dough will look shaggy.

QUICK AND EASY BEER BREAD
This recipe was given to me by an Irish friend whom I met when we were living in Germany (the Irish and German factor explains the 'beer' ingredient). Very quick and easy to make - just mix the ingredients and put straight in the oven. My friend noted that dark beer works best. I like to sprinkle white and black sesame seeds on the bread, as it gives it that extra taste.

Steps:
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add beer all at once (it foams a lot).
- Stir until just mixed.
- Put in a greased loaf pan. (Optional: Sprinkle bottom of pan with seeds of choice after greasing; then place dough in pan and sprinkle once again).
- Bake at 190oC (375oF) for 35-40 minutes.
EASY BEER BREAD MIX
I combine all the dry ingredients and put them in quart canning jars or quart size ziploc bags and give as gifts. All the recipient needs to add is the can of beer and butter over the top of the loaf. You know you have a winner when people ask for the recipe!

Steps:
- Mix all ingredients except butter; the dough will be sticky so don't try to knead it.
- Melt butter on the stovetop or in the microwave.
- Pour dough into one large or two small loaf pans (greased and lightly floured) and top with melted butter.
- The main idea is to leave enough room for the bread to rise substantially in the pan without the melted butter overflowing.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 50 to 55 minutes.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, mix the bisquick and the sugar.
- Then add the beer, I find it works better if the beer is room temperature. Mix gently to form the batter , but DO NOT OVERMIX. It may look a little lumpy but thats okay.
- Pour into a loaf pan (regular size about 9X3).
- Then pour the butter over the top.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 50 minutes.
- Check anywhere from 45 - 60 minutes since ovens vary.
- Take it out of the oven and let it sit about an hour before cutting. You can eat it right away but it may crumble a little. By letting it sit for a while you will get nice slices. We love it with stew or chili or plain with butter and jam.

CHEESY BEER BREAD
This easy bread recipe uses beer and baking powder to leaven instead of yeast, producing a loaf with a lightly crisp crust and a beautifully soft interior. A strongly flavored cheese, like sharp Cheddar or Gruyère, complements the flavors of the beer. The brown sugar isn't absolutely necessary, but it extends the bread's shelf life, keeping the interior soft even after it's been sliced. This bread is especially lovely served warm, but is also delicious at room temperature.

Steps:
- Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper to combine. Add the cubed butter and use your hands or a pastry cutter to work the butter into the flour until you have fine crumbs.
- Add the beer and mix until thoroughly combined. Fold in the shredded cheese. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread into an even layer.
- Brush about 1/3 of the melted butter over the surface of the loaf and transfer to the oven. Bake for 20 minutes, brush with more butter, then return to the oven for another 20 minutes. Brush with the remaining butter, and return to the oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, another 20 to 30 minutes. (The internal temperature should read at least 200 degrees on a thermometer.)
- Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then run a small offset spatula around the edges and unmold. Cool at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
