Steps:
- Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside.
- In a medium microwave safe bowl, microwave the dark cocoa candy melts according to package instructions.
- Place 2 tablespoons of the melted chocolate into the bottom of each cookie mold. Place an OREO cookie on top of the melted chocolate.
- Spoon additional melted chocolate on top of the OREO cookie, up to the top of the mold.
- Repeat steps until all of the cookie molds are full. Chill for about a hour or until the chocolate is firm.
- Dip the 12 mini OREO cookies into the remaining melted chocolate and place on the baking sheet. Chill for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
- Once chilled, remove the cookie molds and baking sheet from the refrigerator. Gently pop the OREO cookies out of their molds and place on the baking sheet next to the mini OREO cookies.
- Apply white icing to the back of one of the mini OREO cookies and place directly on top of the regular size OREO cookie, centering the mini cookie in the middle for the turkey face.
- Dab a small amount of white icing to the back of the candy eyes and place 2 eyes on the mini OREO .
- Dab a small amount of white icing to the cut side of 12 red M&M candy halves and place under the eyes (at an angle) for the turkey wattle.
- For the turkey feathers, each turkey will need half of a red, orange, yellow, green and blue M&M candy piece. Dab a small amount of white icing on the cut side of each piece and place on the large OREO, above the face, evenly spaced apart.
- With orange decorator icing, pipe the turkey feet at the bottom of each cookie by creating two lines that form the top part of a triangle.
- Repeat process with remaining supplies to assemble your OREO Thanksgiving Turkey Cookies.
OREO COOKIE TURKEYS
Build an Oreo turkey with Oreos, candy and frosting. This would be a fun activity for (school-age) kids at a Thanksgiving gathering to put these together. They can display them at their dinner place and eat them for dessert....if they can wait that long. The recipe I am listing will be to make one dozen turkeys.

Steps:
- Place one Oreo cookie as the base. Put one teaspoon of chocolate frosting on top.
- Place one small peanut butter cup on it's side so that the top and bottom are perpendicular to the base -- and stuck in the frosting. Place a teaspoon of chocolate frosting on the top(widest part) of the p-butter cup.
- For the second cookie. Stick some candy corn into the Oreo 'stuff' along one edge for the feathers -- pointy side down. They should fan out around the edge. If you have trouble doing this, you can help them stick with some white frosting.
- Place this second Oreo cookie (the tail) on it's edge and sticking to a dab of brown frosting on the back of the peanut butter cup.
- Place a dab of chocolate frosting on top of the peanut butter up (for the head). Place a malted milk ball on top for the head.
- Take a small amount of the white frosting in a separate dish. Mix in red food coloring.
- Use a toothpick with the white and red colors to place eyes, and wattle. You can pinch off the small pointy top of a candy corn and dip it in brown frosting for the beak.
- Your turkey is complete!

EASY THANKSGIVING TURKEY COOKIES
These cookies are cute and easy! Kids love them! Fun to make! I used the refrigerated cookie dough - but you could even buy pre-made sugar cookies and decorate them... We took these to my kids classes for their pre-Thanksgiving party and they were a huge hit! It's probably easiest to just look at the picture to make these rather than follow my directions - but good luck! Enjoy!

- Next squirt two dots in the middle for the eyes. Top with 2 mini M&Ms of the same color.
- With the gel frosting, make a "V" for the beak - and then an upside-down "Y" for the feet.
