Easy Gluten-Free Turkey Burgers image

The great thing about homemade burgers is that they can easily be modified accordingly, and these turkey burgers are great for those who are gluten-intolerant, follow a gluten-free diet, or simply wish to avoid bread crumbs in their mixture without sacrificing taste or texture (like me).

1 pound ground turkey
½ white onion, finely chopped
¼ cup almond flour
1 large egg
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 sprigs fresh basil, chopped
1 pinch garlic and herb seasoning blend (such as Mrs. Dash®), or to taste
ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Mix ground turkey, onion, almond flour, egg, garlic, basil, seasoning blend, and black pepper together thoroughly in a bowl. Form 5 burger patties using about 1/3 cup of the turkey mixture for each.
  • Cook turkey burgers on preheated grill until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 7 to 10 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

These Easy Gluten-Free Ground Turkey Burger are a perfect weeknight meal. You'll make your own delicious BBQ sauce for them and you only need the ground turkey and gluten-free oats for the burgers. Yum!

1/2 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Ground pepper to taste
1 lb Ground turkey (500 grams)
1/3 cup Gluten-free oats

Steps:

  • Move the oven rack to the top position. Pre-heat the broiler and cover a cookie sheet in tinfoil (unless grilling the burgers, skip this step.)
  • Make the sauce by combining the ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes and pepper. Set aside.
  • Place the ground turkey and oats in a large bowl. Add 1/2 of the sauce and stir to combine.
  • Form ~6 patties from the mixture (1/3 heaping cup full) or 8 smaller ones.
  • Grill the burgers or cook under the broiler for 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Once flipped, brush the burgers with the other half of the sauce.
  • Cook the burgers until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Serve hot with gluten-free buns and all the fixings (lettuce, tomatoes, etc)

10 ounces frozen spinach, drained
7 ounces firm tofu, crumbled
1 cup parmesan cheese, grated (Kraft)
1/8 cup italian seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 eggs

Steps:

  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Shape into patties and cook how you normally would, on the grill or on the stove until an internal temp of 160'.
