Easy Frozen Broccoli Food

This is sooooooo easy but yummy. Not too much to say about it except that it tastes good. You can add some cooked chicken and it will make a whole meal or you can use it as a side-dish. Either way it is tasty.

Ingredients

1/3 cup olive oil
2 -3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 lb frozen broccoli florets
2 tablespoons butter
1 dash salt
fresh ground pepper
1/2 lb cooked pasta (I use spaghetti or linguini)
parmesan cheese
leftover cooked chicken, cut up (optional)

Steps:

Put the olive oil in a large skillet and heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook slightly (do not brown the garlic).
Add the frozen broccoli and cook about 8 minutes stirring occasionally, adding a little water now and then to make steam so that the broccoli cooks.
If you are adding chicken, add it now.
Add butter, salt, pepper, and the cooked pasta.
Serve with Parmesan cheese at the table.

1 (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli, thawed
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
salt, to taste

Steps:

Rinse and pat dry the broccoli.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the crushed red pepper and heat 1 minute. Cook and stir the broccoli in the skillet until it begins to get crispy, 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt to serve.

1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
1/4 cup frozen chopped onion
1/4 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup colby cheese, shredded
1 cup milk
1/4 cup Bisquick baking mix
3 eggs
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

Prepare broccoli and onions according to broccoli cooking directions; drain.
Place cooked broccoli mixture in a lightly buttered 9" pie plate.
Add mushrooms and cheese.
Combine remaining ingredients in blender; blend until smooth.
Pour over broccoli mixture.
Bake at 375F for 25-30 minutes or until firm.
