Steps:
- Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk milk and eggs; pour over flour mixture, and whisk gently to combine (don't overmix). Gently whisk in butter.
- Following manufacturer's instructions, cook waffles until deep brown and crisp. (For a standard waffle iron, pour a generous 1/2 cup of batter into center, spreading to within 1/2 inch of edges, and close; waffle will cook in 2 to 3 minutes.) Serve warm, with maple syrup and butter, as desired.
EASY FLUFFY WAFFLE BATTER
My kids love this recipe because it tastes like overnight waffles but is much quicker to make.

Steps:
- Mix the first 6 ingredients together well. Then add the flour in 1/3 batches until fully mixed together. Do not worry batter will be stiff.
- Allow the batter to rest for about 10 minutes. This helps the baking powder to start working.
- Use about 1/2 cup of batter in a preheated waffle maker, depending on the size of your waffle maker. Cook to desired doneness, warning they cook quickly.

BASIC BATTER WAFFLES
This hearty waffle recipe comes from an issue of Parent's Magazine. Ive made it every week for years and it comes out great every time. I double it and freeze the leftover waffles and reheat in toaster oven.

BEST EVER PANCAKE/WAFFLE BATTER
This recipe is from my aunt and it is truly the best pancake/waffle batter that I've had. If using salted butter, cut the salt. For other variations, add grated apple with cinnamon, a mashed banana, blueberries, pecans or walnuts, chocolate chips, pumpkin, or whatever your imagination comes up with. May use flavored yogurt in place of plain yogurt.
