4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place the chicken pieces into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, mix together the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and cola. Pour over the chicken. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until the chicken is no longer pink.

Our Coca-Cola chicken features drumsticks simmered in a tangy sauce, giving it a great flavor that the whole family will love.

4 tablespoons vegetable oil, (divided)
2 pounds chicken drumsticks (8 to 9 pieces)
1 cup sweet yellow onion, (finely diced )
1 tablespoon fresh garlic, (minced )
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, (grated)
24 ounces Coca-Cola
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons light brown sugar, (packed)
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Using a 4 to 5-quart Dutch oven on medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons oil.
  • Add the chicken drumsticks, and sauté for 3 minutes on each side. Remove the drumsticks and set them aside.
  • Add the remaining oil to the Dutch oven. Add the onion, and sauté uncovered for 2 minutes, stirring often. Keep the heat on medium-high.
  • Add the garlic and ginger. Continue cooking and stirring often, for 1 to 1½ minutes. Keep the heat on medium-high.
  • Next add the 2 cans of Coca-Cola, soy sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and salt. Continue stirring often, and cook uncovered for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, and add back in the chicken drumsticks. Cook for 20 minutes uncovered, turning the chicken once.
  • After cooking the chicken for 20 minutes, remove the chicken from the pot and set aside. Increase the heat to medium-high. Allow the sauce to reduce for 5 to 8 additional minutes. Once the sauce reduces, remove the pot from the heat. Ladle the sauce over the chicken, and serve while hot.

A friend of mine gave me this recipe, because I couldn't believe the flavor! It was all in the cola and jelly. The only change I made was, I used diet cola instead of regular cola, but you can use either one, The taste is still the same, but just w/out all the added sugar.

6 skinless chicken thighs
3/4 c apple jelly, i used low-sugar apple jelly
3/4 tsp dry mustard
3/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 12 oz can diet cherry cola soda

Steps:

  • 1. Spray a lg skillet w/ cooking spray. Place chicken thighs in skillet.
  • 2. In lg bowl, stir together jelly, mustard, salt and pepper. Slowly stir in 1 cup cola. Mix well. Pour mix over chicken. Cook chicken in skillet over high heat until it boils. reduce heat to med-high. Cover, cook 10 mins, basting chicken w/ juices.
  • 3. Reduce heat to medium. Cover, cook 15 mins, or until chicken is no longer pink inside. baste w/ sauce. Spoon sauce over chicken before serving.

1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons onion flakes (minced)
½ teaspoon garlic salt
1 ½ cup barbecue sauce (divided)
12 ounces Coca-Cola (divided)

Steps:

  • Spread the chicken breasts in the bottom of a 6-quart crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the pepper, minced onion flakes, and garlic salt over the chicken. Pour ½ cup of the barbecue sauce over the chicken.
  • Pour 1 cup Coca-Cola into the slow cooker.
  • Cover and set on a high setting for 4 hours or low for 6 to 7 hours.
  • After the chicken has cooked for about 3 hours on high (or 5 hours on low), drain all liquid from the slow cooker, leaving the chicken in the pot. Add the remaining ½ cup of Coca-Cola and the remaining 1 cup of barbecue sauce to the slow cooker. Continue cooking for the remaining hour.
  • Serve whole with sauce spooned over the top or shred chicken and mix with excess sauce.
