1 cup panko breadcrumbs
dried oregano, to taste

2 eggs
oil, for frying

Steps:

  • First, season the ground chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Grab a handful of ground chicken and roll into a rough ball shape, place a cube of cheese in the center and wrap the ground chicken around it. Form it into a chicken nugget shape. Set aside.
  • Season the panko with oregano.
  • Take the chicken nuggets and coat with flour, dip in egg and cover with the panko/oregano mix.
  • Deep fry in the oil until browned and crispy.

¼ cup ranch dressing
⅔ cup panko bread crumbs
⅔ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil; place a wire cooling rack on top and spray with cooking spray.
  • Put chicken into a gallon-size resealable plastic bag. Add ranch dressing; seal and shake bag to coat chicken evenly.
  • Mix panko, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and parsley together in a bowl; pour into bag with chicken. Seal and shake bag to coat thoroughly. Remove from bag; place on rack in a single layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 15 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Turn broiler on high; broil until crispy, about 1 minute.

These delicious broccoli and cheese nuggets are not difficult to prepare and they take little time. This recipe is eaten very well as light lunch, as a side dish, and even as a snack. You can serve it as is, but accompanied with a dip it is even tastier. Here are some examples of dip that go very well with these broccoli and cheese nuggets: ranch dip, Asian dip, sour cream, and salsa.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pound chicken breasts, boneless & skinless cut into chunks
1/4 cup old fashioned oats (also known as 5 minute oats)
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375° F.
  • Place the first 6 ingredients in a food processor until chicken is finely chopped and ingredients are combined.
  • Place the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese in a shallow bowl or on a plate and stir to combine.
  • With moistened hands, roll 1 tablespoon of chicken mixture between your palms and flatten it into a "nugget" shape.
  • Gently press nuggets into bread crumbs to evenly coat them.
  • Place nuggets on a cooling rack. Place cooling rack over a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Lightly spray nuggets with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 15 minutes and serve.
  • To freeze, place nuggets on a sheet tray after this step and freeze for one hour. Place nuggets in labeled freezer bags for up to 3 months. When ready to cook, follow the directions starting with step #6.

marinara sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Place cheese nuggets in a pan and put in freezer for at least one hour.
  • Mix bisquick,paprika, garlic powder, milk and egg until smooth.
  • Dip cheese into batter,covering cheese completely.
  • Fry in 2 inches of oil heated to 375 degrees in a frying pan or in an electric skillet.
  • Fry about 1-2 minutes, turning once, until golden brown.

  • Cut cheese sticks into thirds. Place flour on a plate and season it with salt and pepper. Put the egg in a small bowl. Place bread crumbs on a plate.
