Easiest Oven-Baked Mac and Cheese (Dump-and-Bake!) image

This oven-baked mac and cheese is creamy, cheesy, and comes together with minimal effort in just one pan!

Number Of Ingredients 11

12 ounces dried elbow pasta
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon sea salt
4 tablespoons butter (divided)
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 ounces cream cheese (cut into 1/2 inch cubes)
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 cups shredded cheese (divided)
1/2 cup bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  • Add the pasta, milk, and salt to a 9x13 inch, or other 3-quart baking dish, and stir to combine. Then, slice two tablespoons of butter and place over top of the macaroni.
  • Cover the dish with a fitted lid or aluminum foil as tightly as possible, then bake for 30 minutes.
  • While the macaroni bakes, combine 2 tablespoons of melted butter with the breadcrumbs, parsley, and garlic powder.
  • After 30 minutes, remove the macaroni from the oven and very carefully take off the foil. Stir in the pepper, heavy cream, and cream cheese until it is fully melted, then stir in two cups of shredded cheese.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese over top of the macaroni, followed by the breadcrumbs, then return to the oven and bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes, until the breadcrumbs and cheese are browned on top.

2 cups elbow macaroni
1 lb extra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
paprika, garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • Mix cooked pasta and all ingredients in a sprayed casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle paprika on top for color if desired.
  • Bake in 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30 to 45 minutes until done.
  • Serve hot.

1 - 2 pound(s) uncooked macaroni (amount depends on how many people you need to serve)
2 cup(s) milk
2 can(s) cheddar soup (10.5 oz each)
2 can(s) evaporated milk (12 oz each)
1 cup(s) sour cream
2 1/2 cup(s) sharp cheddar
1 pinch(es) salt
1 pinch(es) ground mustard
- cooking spray

Steps:

  • Spray Crock Pot with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Add uncooked macaroni, 2 cups milk, 1 can evaporated milk, 2 cans cheese soup, 2 cups cheese, salt, mustard, and sour cream.
  • Stir and cook on low for 1 hour (or high for 30 minutes).
  • It's a good idea to continuously check the macaroni to make sure it's not burning, and give it a stir so it doesn't stick to the sides.
  • After one hour, stir in the additional can of evaporated milk and 1/2 cup cheese.
  • Continue to cook on low for 2 hours. Season with salt and pepper.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9 X 13 pan (I just spray it with Pam) and dump ingredients into pan, stirring to combine.
  • Bake for 45 minutes.
  • If you like a crispy top, put it under the broiler for a few minutes, watching carefully to ensure it doesn't burn.
