A special gift for the 4 legged creatures in your life. Make sure and never give a dog chocolate as it can be deadly; however, carob chips are safe. The recipe is printed in a holiday magazine this year. I am updating this based on the review by Juenessa.

Steps:
- Line a cookie sheet with foil that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place the carob chips and peanut butter in the top of a double boiler over boiling water, stir until mixture melts and becomes creamy.
- Mix in the nuts and cinnamon.
- Pour the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet and place in the freezer for 15 minutes or refrigerate for 30.
- Peel off foil and break into 1 x 2 inch pieces.
- Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

- Excitement. The most common reason for dogs to bark at their food is that they are just so excited that they can’t contain it. Happy barking can be annoying for us humans, but they just want to communicate with you!
- Anxiety or Fear of the Bowl. Dogs don’t always understand things the way that humans do, and normal experiences for us can be baffling and scary for them.
- Pain. If your dog begins growling or barking while eating when he’s never done that before, there’s a chance that he might be in pain. Dental disease is a common source of pain while eating, but other problems such as joint pain can also cause trouble for hungry dogs.
- Resource Guarding. Does your dog hunch over his food, growling and looking around suspiciously? Does he bark at anyone who comes close to him? If so, he might be resource guarding.
- Distaste for Food or Routine Changes. If you’ve just changed food brands or started feeding your dog at a different time of day, your dog might bark to show that he’s unhappy with the new offering.
