DIABETIC ORANGE MANGO SMOOTHIE
Delicious, healthy, and easy to make. I made this up when I didn't have enough mangoes to make a Mango Smoothie, and DH and I loved it. It will become a regular at our house! Makes 2 large or 4 small Smoothies

EASY MANGO SMOOTHIE
When mangoes are in season, this makes a refreshing and delicious treat. The ingredients call for lowfat vanilla ice cream and nonfat milk; I have tried it using regular ice cream and whole milk; if you like a very rich smoothie you will enjoy it this way. I usually make it with regular ice cream and 1% milk.

ORANGE MANGO SMOOTHIE
Simple, low Calorie, delicious and great for breakfast (or antime in my house). Sometimes I add a Soy supplement (powdered) to this recipe and it will make it a little thicker. This is hands down my favorite smoothie. My aunt doesnt like the texture of allot of different fruits so needless to say its not in her daily diet. She really enjoyed this smoothie and requested it several times while she stayed with me. Hope you enjoy!

- Include healthful fats. Share on Pinterest. There are many sources of healthful fats that can be used in smoothies, such as avocado and chia seeds. Some fats are good for people with diabetes.
- Add protein. In a similar way as fat, protein offers many health benefits that are essential for everyone, but especially for people with diabetes. High-protein content can slow the absorption of food, and this reduces the speed at which sugar enters the bloodstream.
- Fill up on fiber. Share on Pinterest. Adding leafy greens like spinach can ensure that a smoothie is nutritious and high in fiber. Fiber can be soluble or insoluble.
- Add flavor without sugar. Many foods already have sugar in them, and some have hidden sugars. Processed or premade foods often contain added sugar. When choosing ingredients, remember that
- Include 3 servings of carbs. When making a smoothie, a person with diabetes must make sure they know how many carbohydrates they are adding. In general, people with diabetes should look to include 45 grams (g) or less of carbohydrates in a smoothie.
