HASHBROWN POTATOES DELUXE

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Add potato chips to a zipper-top bag and crush with a rolling pin. Set aside crushed chips.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together sour cream and condensed soup. Add onion, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Fold in shredded potatoes and shredded cheese until combined.
- Pour potato mixture into an ungreased 9x13x2 inch baking dish. Top with crushed potato chips. Drizzle melted butter over the top. Bake at 375 degrees for one hour until golden and bubbly.

I've got rave reviews for this awesome potato side dish. Great for potlucks since it's done in a CrockPot. I have to give credit to "Best Loved Slow Cooker Recipes" Cookbook for this recipe. Add ham and green beans to make it a main dish.

Steps:
- Combine soup, sour cream, onion, 1/4°C butter and salt in small bowl.
- Combine potatoes and cheese in CrockPot.
- Pour soup mixture over potato mixture.
- Sprinkle dry stuffing mix over potato mixture.
- Drizzle with remaining 3 T butter.
- Cover and cook on LOW 8-10 hours or on HIGH 5-6 hours.

- Thaw potatoes slightly.
- In lg. bowl mix together all ingredients(except for the parmesan.)
- Spread into a 9x13 and sprinkle with desired amount of parm (and yes, I use the stuff in the green can!) Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, mix the first 6 ingredients; stir in potatoes, cheese and bacon. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake until golden brown, 50-60 minutes. Freeze option: Cover and freeze unbaked casserole. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 375°. Bake casserole as directed until top is golden brown and a thermometer inserted in center reads 165°, increasing time to 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours.
