I wanted a simple everyday family meal. My entire family, including my 18-month-old, loves this tasty simple fish dish. Delicious!

¾ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 (1 ounce) package dry Ranch-style dressing mix
2 ½ tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound tilapia fillets
2 teaspoons butter

Steps:

  • Place the bread crumbs in a bowl. In a shallow dish, mix the dressing mix and oil to form a paste. Coat the tilapia fillets with the paste, then dredge in the bread crumbs to lightly coat.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the fillets in the skillet, and cook 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and easily flaked with a fork.

1 pound fresh spinach
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 pound cod, cut into large pieces
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
¼ cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
¼ cup panko bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Evenly spread spinach in the bottom of prepared casserole dish; sprinkle with garlic salt. Arrange fish atop spinach, keeping the pieces side by side and larger pieces toward the outside of dish. Top fish with lemon zest, lemon juice, dill, sea salt, and black pepper.
  • Combine Cheddar cheese, Italian-seasoned bread crumbs, and panko bread crumbs in a bowl; spread evenly over fish. Cover dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated for 12 to 15 minutes; uncover and cook until fish flakes easily with a fork and topping is lightly browned and crunchy, 5 to 8 more minutes.

1/3 cup KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese
1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
6 tilapia fillets (1-1/2 lb.)
1 egg, beaten

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F.
  • Combine first 3 ingredients in shallow dish. Dip fish in egg, then in cereal mixture, turning to evenly coat both sides of each fillet with each ingredient.
  • Place in shallow baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake 5 to 10 min. or until fish flakes easily with fork.

This is a versatile baked fish recipe. Fish fillets are baked with a breadcrumb and Parmesan cheese topping for a flavorful, crunchy coating.

2 tablespoons melted butter, plus butter for greasing the pan
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 pounds fish fillets (tilapia, haddock, or cod; fresh or thawed if previously frozen)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 F. Blend together the milk and salt in a shallow bowl.
  • Combine the breadcrumbs, paprika, and Parmesan cheese in another bowl.
  • Dip the fish fillets into the milk mixture, then press them down into the crumb mixture until they're well coated on all sides. Reserve the coated fish. If using thawed frozen fillets, pat dry very well with paper towels before dipping in the milk mixture and coating with the cheese crumbs
  • Grease an 11.5 x 7.5 x 2-inch baking dish with the 1/2 tablespoon softened butter, being sure to reach all sides and the bottom of the dish.
  • Arrange the fish in the prepared baking dish. Ideally, the fillets shouldn't overlap in the dish. Drizzle the melted butter over the fillets.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. Check for doneness; the fish should flake easily with a fork when ready. Serve the fish right away with your favorite sides. Enjoy!

2 lbs fish fillets (your choice)
1/2 cup French dressing
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (3 1/2 ounce) can French-fried onions
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Thaw fish steaks if frozen.
  • Cut into serving pieces.
  • Place fish in a shallow baking pan.
  • Combine french dressing, lemon juice and salt.
  • Pour sauce over fish and let stand 30 minutes, turning once.
  • Remove fish from sauce and place in a well-greased baking dish.
  • Crush onions in plastic bag with a rolling pin.
  • Add cheese to onions and mix thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle onion mixture over fish.
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork.

  • HEAT OVEN TO 425F/217C. Line a pan with parchment paper and place a grill/rack on top. Spray rack with oil for easy clean up.
  • TOAST BREADCRUMBS: Pan fry Panko crumbs with butter, lemon zest and Cajun seasoning over medium heat in a large pan for about 5 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to burn them. To toast crumbs in oven instead: place crumbs on pan and bake in heated oven for 5-7 minutes, shaking half way through, until golden brown.
  • COAT FISH WITH MAYO, THEN PANKO: Stir mayo mixture ingredients together and brush on fish in a thin layer on both sides. Sprinkle one side lightly with salt and pepper (skip if cajun seasoning is salty). Then dip pieces of fish in crumbs, patting to help adhere crumbs to fish. Place on the rack on top of pan. Sprinkle any remaining crumbs over fish.
  • BAKE: Bake fish in middle rack of oven for 7-10 minutes, depending on thickness of fish. One inch (2.5cm) thick fish will take about 10 minutes. Half inch, about 7-8 minutes. An instant thermometer will read 135F/57C. The fish should flake easily and be slightly translucent (not dry). Serve with lemon wedges and your preferred dipping sauce (note 3).
