1/3 cup chili powder
2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 jar chipotle chile, chopped
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano, crumbled
1 teaspoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 -2 tablespoon sugar
4 (15 ounce) cans pinto beans
1 -3 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 lbs beef stew meat, cut small cubes
1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Put first 13 ingredients in crock pot with 1 tablespoon of the sugar, mix well, add pinto beans.
  • Turn crock pot on low.
  • Heat some olive oil in a large skillet sauté garlic, onions and green pepper for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add to crock pot.
  • Dredge the beef in the flour and brown in skillet.
  • (add more oil, if necessary).
  • Add to crock pot stir well.
  • Cook 8-10 hours.
  • Taste check; for acidity if necessary add more sugar, salt.

¼ cup molasses
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 (16 ounce) can baked beans with pork
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
4 slices bacon
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
1 ½ pounds ground beef

Steps:

  • In a slow cooker, mix together ketchup, molasses, mustard, pork and beans, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook bacon and bell pepper in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5 to 7 minutes, then add to the slow cooker. In same skillet, brown beef, and stir into the slow cooker.

800 g mixed beans (tinned) (2 tins)
400 g chopped tomatoes (1 tin)
150 g sweetcorn (1 small tin)
1 onion (diced)
1 carrot (grated)
1 celery stick (sliced)
1 red pepper (diced)
3 cloves garlic (crushed)
2 vegetable stock cube
500 ml hot water
8 tbsp tomato paste (puree)
3 tbsp paprika (sweet)
2 tbsp smoked paprika
3 tbsp cumin (ground)
1 tbsp coriander (dried)
1½ tbsp basil (dried or fresh)
1 tsp thyme (dried or fresh)
2 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (vegan friendly)

Steps:

  • Put all of the prepared vegetables (onion, pepper, carrot and celery) and crushed garlic into the slow cooker and stir in the corn flour to coat the everything well.
  • Pour in the tins of mixed beans, sweetcorn and chopped tomatoes. Dissolve the stock cubes in the hot water and then empty this into the slow cooker.
  • Add the tomato paste, all herbs and spices (coriander, basil, thyme, chilli, paprikas, cumin) and the salt, pepper, sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir through well.
  • Set the slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours then serve with rice.

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 large sweet onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes with mild green chiles
2 cans (15 ounces each) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans (15 ounces each) black beans, rinsed and drained
2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped red onion and minced fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink, breaking up beef into crumbles; drain., Transfer beef mixture to a 5-qt. slow cooker. * ½ pound Uncooked Kidney Beans
* ½ pound Mixed Vegetables (carrots, bell peppers and celery)
* 1½ pints Stock
* 2 pints Water
* 1 Garlic Clove (pressed)
* 1 Onion (chopped)
* 1 tbsp Chili Powder
* ½ tsp Basil
* ½ tsp Cumin
* ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
* 14 ounces Tomatoes (chopped)
* 1 tbsp Olive Oil
* 2 ounces Bulgur Wheat
* 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
* 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
* 3 tbsp Red Wine
* Salt (to taste)
* Pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Soak the beans in water and drain after some time. Wash them well under running water.
  • Boil in high flame in fresh water for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat and cook for 40 minutes, depending upon the freshness of the beans. It takes longer to cook older beans.
  • Drain the water off and preserve the liquid for being used later.
  • Place a pan on medium flame and add olive oil.
  • Add onions and garlic and fry them.
  • Add the cooked beans, chopped vegetables, basil, chili powder, cumin and cayenne powder. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Next, put in the tomatoes, tomato paste, bulgur wheat and 1 pint of the preserved stock.
  • ring to a boil on a high flame. Reduce heat, cover the top and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Add lemon juice, red wine, salt and pepper.
  • Add more stock if the consistency becomes too thick. Cook for a further 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

2 (12 ounce) cans lima beans, drained

1/4 cup picnic prepared mustard
1/3 cup brown sugar or 1/3 cup dark molasses
2/3 cup wrights liquid smoke
1/3 cup genuine apple cider vinegar
2 lbs lean hamburger
1/4-1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup Spam (optional) or 1 cup ham, chopped (optional)
