1 1/2 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
1/4 cup butter or margarine, cut into chunks
1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 to 1 cup milk, warmed

Steps:

  • In 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, place potatoes, chicken broth and butter.
  • Cover; cook on High heat setting 4 hours to 4 hours 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Add remaining ingredients except milk. Mash, crush or smash potatoes using potato masher, or beat with electric mixer on low speed until well blended. Do not overmix. Stir in enough milk for desired creamy consistency. Cover and keep warm on Low or Warm heat setting until serving time, up to 2 hours. Stir before serving.

1.5 Tablespoon garlic (minced)
4 chicken bullion cubes
1 cup sour cream
8 oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 cup butter (softened and sliced)
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Cut potatoes into quarters (or eighths if the potato is larger) and place in a large pot with your garlic and bullion cubes.
  • Cover everything with water and bring to a boil.
  • Boil for around 15 minutes, until your potatoes are tender.
  • Drain and place a large bowl and mash.
  • Mix in your cream cheese and sour cream until well blended.
  • Place potato mixture in a lightly greased crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours.
  • Mix in your butter, salt and pepper right before you serve.

1 pkg cream cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Peel the potatoes and cut them in quarters. Put in heavy pan and cover with water. Boil until tender, approximately 30 minutes.
  • 2. Drain and then put in mixer bowl. As you begin to beat them, add milk to desired consistency; and then add up to one stick of butter and about 1/2 package of cream cheese. Again...up to you...but since I then put them in the crock pot, I like them a little creamier to start with!
  • 3. Pour into greased crock pot and keep on low until you are ready for them!

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup chives, chopped

Steps:

  • Boil peeled potatoes until tender.
  • Beat sour cream and cream cheese together.
  • Add hot potatoes and beat until smooth.
  • Add butter, chives, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place in greased two quart casserole.
  • Dot with butter and sprinkle paprika on top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • Serves 8-10.

2 (4 g) packets sodium-free chicken stock powder (Herb-ox)

2 tablespoons low-fat whipped cream cheese
