1 Bob Evans Mild Sausage Roll
1 block Velveeta Cheese
1 can Rotel

Steps:

  • Brown sausage in skillet, drain
  • Halve and Quarter the Velveeta, then dice. This helps to melt in crock pot.
  • Place Velveeta, cooked sausage and rotel in crock pot.
  • Set Crock Pot on low and let cook for about an hour.
  • Place rye bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes until crisp. Place a tablespoon of Sausage Hanky on top of the rye bread. Enjoy!
  • Serve on rye bread as a perfect appetizer for any party! (Can be left on low all day so guests can serve themselves as they please.)

1 pound fresh, ground pork sausage
3 tablespoons minced onion
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup process cheese sauce
16 ounces cocktail rye bread

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook sausage over a medium heat until it is browned and cooked through. Stir onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and process cheese into the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and the ingredients are well combined.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of mixture onto each slice of cocktail rye. Serve warm.

red pepper flakes
1 loaf sliced rye cocktail bread

Steps:

  • brown hamburger, sausage and onion.
  • Add Velveeta cheese until melted, sprinkle cayenne pepper and pepper flakes to taste.
  • Let cool completely.
  • Mound onto cocktail rye slices and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until bubbly.

1 lb hot Italian sausage (reserve 2 tablespoons Fat From Pan)
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
1/2 cup parmesan cheese (Grated)
salt and pepper
1/2 cup parsley (chopped)
10 slices baguette (grilled)

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute the sausage until cooked through, about 5-10 minutes. Be sure to break up any large chunks. When cooked drain and set aside reserving 2 tablespoons of the fat.
  • Whisk the flour into the reserved fat followed by the milk. Add the grated parmesan, parsley, cooked sausage, salt and pepper. Mix to combine.
  • Grill the slices of baguette, transfer to a sheet tray and spoon the sausage mixture on top. Place in the oven on broil until golden and bubbling, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.
